Check who you're paired up with if you have a first round match, and set up a time to play. Make sure you account for time zones, etc. First round matches need to be completed by Wednesday, January 21 9:30am PST.

I'd prefer to go a little later, but it's probably a good idea to start trying a little before the finish date as my WiFi hasn't ever been the best (so in that regard, I hope we have no problems, but it'd be very nice if you were considerate of the fact if it does happen, as I will be if your end is shaky.) Anyway, I'm probably going to finish grinding today, but I would like a little more time to get the best equipment and lapis I can. Before the match starts, it will say "Colosseum of Luck". That and it looks like a soccer field and you're practically right next to your opponent.

I recommend instant messengers or this meebo room I made. Instant chat (room) within your browser for anyone to talk to anyone. Flash required, but I'm sure everyone watches YouTube so it should work. IRC is too complicated for some people.

I need this because this way, I have a validation that the match time & date was agreed upon by both parties. So this way, one person can't say, "Oh, I said Monday at 3am, and he totally never showed, I win!" without ever contacting the other person.

I'm also Central (Illinois!), so this will be pretty simple... Mon/Tues? Sounds good. That'll give me some time to cap all of my characters at 45 (a few are slightly below that).

BTW... on a WIFI battle, do chars gain levels? cuz i've got a char that's on the brink of going over 45... it would suck to not be able to use them at all in the second round. lmao

and is there actually an item called Mana Material, on the banned items list? or does that mean that we can't have items that regenerate mana?

Mana Material doesn't actually recover MP at all. It does a fixed amount of damage, 1000 damage to be exact. At level 45, the only characters that could survive that blast would be Roland and Gaston, and maybe a few others.

Just so you know you both of you are online at the same time, in case both of you don't have the same instant messengers.

It's pretty much an IRC chatroom except it's open to everyone and you don't need that weird IRC client and server and channel mumbo jumbo. Also unlike IRC it's much more colorful and has a log that goes up to 6 months.

He HAS contacted me once and mentioned that it'd have to be Tuesday, but seeing as I couldn't get a time zone out of him, I have no idea whether it'll be possible to set up a match in time or not.

I know this is usually a bad idea, but have you tried unencrypting your wireless? Sometimes routers have wonky WEP, or some other incompatibility, that is fixed by not using encryption. (I've personally experienced this; I'm not repeating some random thing I've read. My solution was to buy a new router, rather than run unencrypted. That, and start using WPA, but Nintendo, in their infinite wisdom, doesn't let us do that.)

Actually I'm waiting for a response from MB, I'm not sure if I'm in the tourney yet. But if i am...

My highest character is level 44, actually i only have 1 character over level 40 cuz the other leveled over 45 =/ so yea all my char should be around level 30~35, still training tho and finding better lapis.

Also Eastern here, presently 6:52AM as for the match anyday after 4pm is fine with me cuz i work or have school in the morning.
That's awesome cus it's the same with me. Actually we could try to have our match on Tuesday because it's the same with me- school or work till pretty late.

Monday I'm working 3- 11:30pm so no good there, I have a crap load of homework to do today and Tuesday I just have class till 3:15. I'm actually stuck at the campus till after 5 that day because my ride has lab, but if you want we can see how well that internet works there, but if I get booted once, we'll have to wait till I get home at about 7 ^_^;;

I really hope he'll give us some more time to get this match done! Make sure you PM manly biceps to make sure we're good to go! ^_^

I'm going to try for about 32-35 for the next 2 hours then I have to start on the crap load of homework I got from algebra (polynomials, which I don't really understand much) and Japanese (just memorization). Crazy college and their amounts of homework, messing with my game play! XD

Oh no! what character ended up going over 45?>_<!

Oh probably one of the best ways to level up particular characters would be to equip them with the 15% exp lapis and just go do a bunch of missions at the guild. If you're really daring, don't use anyone but a few characters instead of all 6. O_o

Ya, I'm in contact with him currently trying to get our codes exchanged. Ran into a slight road block as I've somehow not got "network" unlocked. Checked the 2 faqs for it but none list when or how it's unlocked. Realy, if I have to loose, let it be because I actualy suck, not because the system is screwing with me.

Also, he's willing to wait but in the chance that I am unable to unlock it by deadline, I'd like him to be the winner by default. I still have a bit of time, I just hope it unlocks sometime soon. Otherwise it'll realy suck having skipped the entire story and invested nearly 15 hours into it already.

I would like to bring this to attention as i do not want to be disqualified or eliminated in a effort to try and set up a match with a opponent. I trust your ruling in the matter, but i would like to hope i could advance to the next round, as the cut-off is less than 20 minutes and would not be adequate to get a match together at this point. Or more like, a bit more than that since this is about the time I'd be checking here... and thus confirming... and then you seeing my confirmation. Yeah, sorry :frown:
