I don't have much time reading the forums but I thought I had a bye and was waiting for a PM regarding a match once we got to the second round.

edit : I just read some of the post and have received no PM's from Cascade Range about the match. This should have been highly appropriate on his part instead of saying I am a no show.
I am not able to read the forums very often as I want too, but I guess I will take the loss since my name is already crossed out.

Manly I hope in the future you ask people to PM people before they say they are a no show and they didn't respond to them because I received none, and that would have helped a bunch.

to add on to what canuck was saying the match thread you see now is actually of the second and third round, so you did indeed have a first round bye, they just erase a line of the bracket after the next round advances, as you can see from the match setup, it is down to the final 16 players. I am not trying to take sides but i feel if your committed to the tournament you should be able to check the forums at least once every other day, it takes less than 5 min to do so.

It wasn't to be done through PM's because:

1) That was in the rules, and I specifically reminded everyone of it during the first round.

2) The reason it can't be done solely via PMs is because there needed to be a public record of who was attempting to set up the match. This way if one side never showed up, they couldn't claim "I'd been trying to contact him over PMs and he just ignored me." Having everything in plain sight made it very clear to see who was actually trying to initiate the match.

That being said, step it back, Canuck. He's not whining, he just didn't understand what was going on. This is his fault, and you're advancing, but don't get on his case for it.

So lets say you and me a in match, though PM we set the time as Tuesday @ 9pm. Come Monday I start posting that the match was set for Monday @ 9pm and you did no show, therefore I win. You come in start arguing and I do the same and then the whole thing becomes a problem. And as you clearly can see, just posting quotes does not work either since I can edit those..
I was clearly stating that you both set it up threw PM then both post the time and date in the thread after you set it up and before you play, and anyone can edit any post, but why would they when it clearly says last edited.

Hey Mute when/if we fight I was wondering if you would agree to some terms.
Mostly this is out of fairness to insure a good fight, one that won't leave the loser with regrets because of a cheap match and such.

I would like the fight only on the big ring level or the castle level. I still think the forest and water should be banned. But these two offer the most

Second I would hope for no comments from either side during the match about how things are going if we do meet in the chat room and the winner gets to post the results of the match first. This is mostly for dramatic effect since this is almost the end of the tournament and it is more fun for everyone to be shocked at who wins.

Last I would ask we not talk about characters and lapis setups. I know this goes without saying and this is more of a reminder since we are so close to the end.

I hope for a good clean fight. Anything else you want to add?

well, as far as the nature stage goes, i don't mind the elevation, but i do see it as the lower level start panels are more of a hindrance. for instance, if fatima goes before anyone on the bottom has moved, she can wreak havoc on everyone there. same for the southwest side as well. it just feels like one is at a disadvantage being on the bottom. but i guess it really isn't that big a deal, another thing in strategizing. whatever, play on!

Nah, I'm not ambitious enough for something like that. I am happy that I even got in the tournament let alone past round 2 or 3.
Also I don't really hold any kind of interest in the prizes. If I get something that's great; if not I don't care.
Nor do I even care about winning this, I'll fight but I'm not going to go all out. Claiming first place is not a goal for me.
That said, I do have goals for this tournament but they aren't something as simple as beating everyone or being the greatest.

seriously buddy. i wish there were more tourney's where people just wanted to play and have fun and if you win, awesome! if not, it still was fun. i don't really care about the whole tourney in general, i just wanted to test out tactics and play other people. hence why i will accept any challenge from anyone it's all for fun~

i'll vouch for the total amount of time they spent. i would prefer not to fight someone based off a buy and for them to have their match so i can fight the real winner of right side in the finals.

Well Manly Biceps, we have tried and failed again. Searching both friends and anyone, not even connecting this time like the last times where we connected twice. I found 2 other people on anyone so I know it's not my side's connection, and Canuck is at a public hotspot while I have a private router with all passwords and WEPS and the whole shabam but that probably doesn't make much of a difference. Even though I know it won't alter your judgment, the person whose connection drops won't have a date next to the friend code they just played. Also this is the second time someone has brought network issues against me; Sivant was the first. While these two are completely unrelated the rules state that if a player is disputed twice they automatically lose. Even if the first dispute was not officially declared I'm still standing by the rules and forfeiting my match.

By Rule number 6, the flagged player, Canuck, should automatically lose a following dispute and be eliminated.

If we're just going straight by the rules, this goes to a coin flip. I'm asking for everyone's opinion on this. Of course, since the core of this problem is a match between you & Canuck, either one of you two can simply choose to end the process by opting for the coin flip. This would flag both of you, and any further disconnect problems would eliminate you.

Proving their connection was dropped and Canuck has had previous similar connection problems. This is a matter of connection credibility, not complaints.

It does not matter that I would be flagged because I have already previously connected with CeruleanDraco on LA2 WiFi, proving it is not my side with connection problems and that I would be able to battle with CeruleanDraco with no issues.

I absolutely agree that the tournament shouldn't be decided upon by a coin toss.

k well, not that it really matters cause everyone agreed to do the round robin, but i would be happier if we didn't. at this point in the tournament, i am currently guarenteed 1st or 2nd while if we do this round robin, i can potentially end up as 4th... i have the most to lose right now by changing the way we are doing things. i guess i would have been happier knowing that we were doing this round robin from the beginning rather then changing it in the middle... also wanted to record and post the final match which i can't do if there are techinally 6 final matches.

actually i could have, if fiz were to beat both of you (you and mute) and i lost to both of you, that would put him at a 2 and 1 and me at a 1 and 2, with mute winning the coin flip puts him at a 2 and 1 as well giving him 2nd since he lost to fiz. that would also give you a 1 and 2 and put you at 3rd because you beat me and thus i would be 4th.

and i do want to fight you later as well. just meet in the usual place and we will have ourselves a duel when i get a chance.

In fact, I'd like to see you quote me anywhere where I'm greatly offensive or disrespectful or insulting in any way.
