Rare and powerful personas are usually the personas that are unlocked when you max out a social link, once a max social link is met, they usually show you what you need to make them in the game.

Lucifer is strong, but you gotta level to 93 first. You'll also be spending a lot of money to fuse the personas that are needed to fuse lucifer.

In my opinion, Trumpeter -- which I believe is like lvl 68? -- is what I'd classify as a STRONG persona. My Trumpeter has either a Null/Repel/Drain on all magic elements, only way to damage it is by physical attacks. I believe he has a weakness in Wind, but I fused the null wind skill into him, as well as some other null skill.

This is where Persona gets really fun if you ask me, the fusion system is awesome because you can cook up some awesome personas.

These two pages are incredibly helpful in figuring out what persona has what, and what are needed to fuse them. I'm linking two, so you can search for a persona that has a null skill (or other skill), and figure out a way to bring it to something you want.

It can take about 10-15 minutes to figure out a fusion recipe that will get what you need into a persona, it can take time, but once you get something like a trumpeter thats impervious to magic attacks, it's worth it.

Metatron is pretty powerful too, since it learns a bunch of repel skills by itself, you could then fuse those skills down to a low level persona, and back up to a mid-tier one if wanted.

The point is, if you use those links I gave you, grab a piece of paper and figure out how it goes, you can make a strong one.

Of course there are regular persona that can be extremely powerful in their own right. I think Loki is suppose to have the highest magic stat, which makes his magic attacks very powerful.

In the various communities I've visited, it's generally agreed that Trumpeter and Yo####sune are the best Personas in the game. Trumpter because of all his Nulls and Absorbs and the fact that he naturally learns Debilitate, and Yo####sune because his final Phys skill (Hassou Tobi, or something like that) is retardedly powerful.

And neither of them require anything special to unlock, you just have to do the right mass fusion.

Trumpeter and Yoshi are indeed awesome. I'm also a fan of Black Frost, who while isn't quite as strong, remains useful for his resistances to instant death and draining fire and ice.

Besides the ones mentioned, I'm a fan of Ishtar for healing (samarecarm and salvation) and gaining 4 different kinds of attacks (mine has an ice, fire, lightening, non-ele). She also doesn't have any weaknesses (once you let her naturally learn absorb wind). Combine all of those things with a spell master and you have one great Persona. Another favorite for earlier in the game is Tam Lin. I think of Tam Lin as a worse version of Yoshi. My best Persona right now is Trumpeter. I want to try out Yoshi to see the strength of his Hassou Tabi. I can't believe 8 light physical attacks could be more powerful than Agneyastra. Then again, assuming all hits connect, Hassou deals 480 damage and Agneyastra deals 360...

lol @ blocking out the sh*t in Yoshi*sune. I usually went with making the fiends, they are always damn good and have a variety of strengths and usually one weakness.

Helel is a pretty good persona if you fuse the right abilities into him. Helel is only fusible at lvl 87 and after the Star S.Link is maxed (but this happens automatically).

In Short my Helel has:

Morning Star (severe almighty dmg)
Arms Master (hlafs the % of HP needed for PHY skills)
God's Hand (Severe PHY dmg)
Repel Wind (This blocks nulls his only weakness)
Salvation (restores all HP and cures all ailments)
Maragidyne (heavy fire dmg to all foes)
Bufudyne (heavy ice damage to all foes)
Victory Cry (restores all HP and SP at the end of all fights)

really the only thing i could do to make him better is re-fuse him with mind charge in place of Arms master.

That's a really nice persona, I might have to consider making him this time.

For some strange reason Lucifer/Helel has always been my favorite, not only as persona but for what he stands for. Well I usually go for him when organizing my persona team.

@redenaruto- use powerful persona's to create even powerful one's.

In your second playthrough and saw the true ending, you can fuse Izanagi-no-okami @ lvl 91. The secret persona. Its quite strong although it doesn't have any null/repel/drain on any element, its strong in all elements except light and darkness.

No, you can get Personas through fusion as well. In fact, all of the Personas in the game can be obtained through fusion. Conversely, you will miss most of powerful Personas if you only use Shuffle Time.

That's pretty much it lol, it's not like pokemon where you fight the most powerful one at the end, and a chance to capture it. xD
