Better Persona 4

first .. my rating of this game 92 out of 100... i love it so much
the things i hate is ... Teddie if there is no teddy my rating will be 101/100
and i kinda hate it when rise says that she'll be going back to showbiz...
and more girls would be nice

So in short....you're jealous of teddie. LOL. Don't feel bad, I felt somewhat the same way, because I remember thinking "Man, MC sucks because Teddie has bigger balls then him".

Then again MC needs to grow some in both Persona 3 and 4, because whenever you say "no" or something, they always go "Oh Comon it'll be fine!" or whatever.

I'd totally prefer Kanji over Teddie. Kanji is made of pure coolness. But Naoto is even cooler though. Kanji and Naoto can make a cool couple. ^^

Besides, the beauty pageant alone is enough to make Teddie awesome. Not many guys can pull off an Alice like that, sparkles and all.

Teddie and Kanji are awesome comic relief. So many LOL moments with them in the game.

However, I'm not real happy with the decision to put Teddy on the frontline. I think he's so out of place in the dungeons. I mean you have all these cool characters strolling through a dungeon, and then there's this goofy looking mascot-design reject, ugh!

I think Teddy should've been kept as support, and then they should've had Rise as a front-liner. But in spite of this, I still think it's an awesome game.

Persona 4 is looking more mild lately. For me, Persona 3 was darker than its successor.

shows that no one can just experience the dark hour unless with potential
but in p4 you can just push anyone into the tv.

Him and Rise were hugging after the "final"-ish battle "Adachi's fight" and Rise slapped him and said "Where are you grabbing?" That was funny.

Him trying to get the girls didn't bug me at all, especially after seeing how crappy his date with all of them went at the summer festival. Everything he does is instant hilarity, from attempting to woo the free sample lady at Junes, to the questions he asks the girls at the beauty pageant.


...But hey, we all have characters that we don't like, so I'm not going to get on someone's case over it.

At first I got surprise of how direct Teddie was and saw the girls get surprised of him. But then as the story evolve he just turn into a pervert making the girls hate him most of the time and make him the joke. I thought it was a nice way to do things for Teddie, he is just a punchable character, you like to hit him because you think he is funny and hitting him makes him more funny.

I would've liked more options. I do not much like the characters I had to work with. Chie was especially brutal. Life is sometimes like that, sadly. A game needn't be.

I would like to see at least two characters in the game for each greater arcana card. This would permit a larger adventuring group, a longer play time, and more choices.

Internet should be more prominent than it has been in Persona games. Ways to implement this could be inspired by dot hack. Television should have several channels: this gives the writers opportunity to tell stories such as horror, drama, comedy, and news. One should be able to call ones friends by choice.

Also, I'd like it if the game were darker, that is, more gloomy and tragic with more elegant writing and striking events. Yes, there should be hope, and yes there might be people who do not speak elegantly, but this needn't be central.

I like the music of Skeletal Family, black tape for a blue girl, Lycia, and Switchblade Symphony. Dame Darcy is actually a very good musician with the banjo.

There could've been more time in a day to act -- Persona 4 took a step back in this and other regards. From the previews of Persona 4, one had the impression that actual minutes and hours would be measured and it was a disappointment that this wasn't the case.

Battle should involve more tactical choices. The turn-based movement tactics of other games would be a splendid addition. Also, gameplay elements from SMTP2 are interesting. I am sure people have requested a return to the Rumour system and I see no reason why this can't be in.

It should be set in a larger city than "Port City". To resume Sumaru or a similar city would be interesting to many. Lunarvale might also be visited perhaps? In addition, perhaps Port City might be visited and also Inaba (using an Inaba cityscape from a bad ending game result).

And I hate the way Wittenberg voiced Teddy. The squeaking sound of the shoes was poorly done too. A different squeak should've been utilized. The Sound Director might be asked to be more considerate.

I understand why there is dissent at longer play time. However, if this were punctuated by a great many ways to save (plus special effects for saving different ways) then it wouldn't seem long... and finishing a game isn't hard as long as it's fun. And then there's replay value -- especially if the beginning of the game isn't tedious and featureless (like P4 was). As to liking more play time: that's natural. I love long games that have alot of possible choices -- strategy games are like that more often than RPG, but sometimes RPG are like that too!

Now, as to return to Sumaru is concerned, it's not so bad an idea. I know people are working on fan translations of Persona 2, however it won't ruin anything to visit Sumaru because... there are numerous ways and reasons why Sumaru would appear in the same setting as Inaba City and Port City. A city in a dream appearing in the world, a city that is real but is used in fictions, a city that vanished from the memory but still exists... A city (and a dream) resumes when it becomes useful to those who structure cities, not necessarily resuming at the need of the citizens (nor the dreamers).

It would make an interestingly huge level to say the least -- a constant challenge to resume from time to time. And also a nice place to visit during the storyline.

Yes, I know some big wooly rhinoceros with a brain the size of a raisin has said that Sumaru is off limits but this does not stop fanfic, so why should it stop Atlus?

Lunarvale wouldn't be hard to include either. And it would be rather popular with fans of the older Persona series.

...because, at the end of the day, my M.C. was tapping all their behinds all the way until the end! I have maxed social links with all the females in the party including Rise and they're all intimate.

I'm not saying this is a difficult feat, but I'd like to think that my M.C. can just swing his arm around any of the girls and say, "'Sup?" and Teddie would shut up :-D ... then the M.C. would say, "The truth hurts, doesn't it Teddie?"

Wonder why, but I liked Teddie better than Kanji, to tell you the truth... Well, Teddie never really hit on Naoto, so I don't really mind... And one more, I don't think Kanji and Naoto will make a good couple, Naoto are better off with Souji, I always felt that she cared about our prontagonist more than the other girls, because in her social link, she likes to ask about our prontagonist's (I'll write it as Souji after this, it's just too long to type again and again!:tongue:) childhood and those things not like the other girls, I never recall that the others are asking those to Souji... And more, It looks like Kanji didn't have any chance, Naoto doesn't seem to be interested in him... Speaking of couples, I think Yosuke and Chie that will be a good couple!:)
