I like Kanji, mostly for his "jock" and "gang" attitude. Chie is cute, but I think there could of been a better choice for voice for her.

I too, was disappointed that Naoto didn't show up at the pageant. And of course she's adorable in those circumstances, it's two seperate forces at work. First, you have the absurdity of a character being forced to act outside of their normal personality (Naoto having to act like a girly girl), and you also have the reverse-trap mystique of a girl who is supposed to look -masculine and unattractive- looking girly and attractive. It's a powerful force.

sry about that i was thinking about putting other characters like those two but i thought it would be to hard to decide who to put in and who to leave out so i just stayed with the major characters...but if i was going to put more people in it would be Dojima and Nanako

For me, my favourite character in P4 is Naoto Shirogane. She's one of my greatest assets in battle (together with Chie) and I just love her personality, looks, and everything about her.

I voted for Yosuke and Chie.

I felt that Yosuke helped set a standard for the amount and depth of character interaction in the game. Yuri Lowenthal did an incredibly expressive job as Yosuke, and that helps makes the dialogue even more believable. Gameplay-wise, he's a great early all-rounder next to the main character.

Chie did the same for me, to a lesser extent. She's light-hearted and a bit goofy--a character that works very well for the cast, something I kinda missed in Persona 3's female characters. Great attacker, but unfortunately lacking in magic.

Naoto is becoming a favorite of mine as well, but I think if she appeared more often or became a playable character a bit earlier, I'd definitely go for her.

Yeah, Chie is cute, but I have to admit that I like Yukiko better. She seems extremely shy and reserved at first, but her character fleshes out quickly once the story and her Social Link progress sufficiently. Besides, Yukiko's US voice actress sounds a lot like my wife when she starts giggling.

Until then, she only had adults for company, and she was desperate to be accepted by the grownups around her. This is a tough one since I liked the characters a lot in this one .

Nanako is adorable. Yukiko would be my dream girl if she were real. Chie is sweet sauce cuz she likes martial arts movie and her persona has the yellow Bruce Lee jump suit. Kanji is tight and he makes a fine woman. Naoto is badass and she makes a hot guy AND a hot girl.

well first of all, stay clam! XD. the lab is kinda hard at first, but don't sweat it ^_^ and the keys you're looking for are in the lab.

the key you'll find in B6 is for the door in B4. inside this locked door in B4 you'll find another key for the locked door in B6, and from there you can go straight to the boss a few levels below.

have you been exploiting the enemy's weaknesses? this should make your life easier.

maps my seem confusing at first, but they are not generated randomly. if you can't find the way, try the "right hand" tip, meaning take all paths to the right, return form dead ends, circling aroung the whole level. this works well and lets u pick up all chests and find all paths. try to sketch them on piece of paper, since the map resets if you re-enter.

well i have to admit it would have made the endings better if he said something but thats pretty much my only complaint with the M.C. i dont really understand what you mean when you say he never replies back to anyone in the story when they talk to him because the choices you are given are his replies its just that they arent voiced. i guess i can understand why you dont like the M.C and it really just comes down to preferences in a game and mine happen to be that i like silent protagonists in games like this but that doesnt mean that i think your opinion is worthless i just dont agree with it.

Unfortunately, I am pretty horrible at articulating my likes and dislikes. I'm not sure why I love silent protagonists, but I love the Megaten leads so much I think it can only be properly classified as a fetish.

However, I should also note that Persona 3 and Persona 4 are about the only games in the franchise where my favorite character was not the silent protag. (Well, actually, SMTII, but there's still a trend evident here.) I do think this has something to do with the way the P3/4 protags became awesome badasses at everything they touch, and everybody they talk to thinks they're the most awesome guy to ever live; this is one of my complaints about the social stats/social link system, and one of the reasons I hope it doesn't get recycled for yet another game in the future.

And my favorite silent protag is Tatsuya, who not coincidentally is also (in my opinion) one of the most well developed and believably flawed ones ever.

Basically it's a pet peeve of mine because silent protagonists are like Choose Your Own Adventure books--they aren't "real" to me. I'd rather play/read something more...concrete.

Of course, the only exception to this pet peeve was Raidou <3 I think it may have been because it was just text that I liked it more, but I was still a bit, "I wish he'd have words to match a personality."

I like silent leads too, but only the ones that are able to emote themselves. The ones who have a character that shines through, so even though you are choosing a path for them and giving them your own personality through your responses, they still stand out as a powerful character regardless.

Minato had that quality, Seta had it, Demi-Fiend and Serhp both had it, most of the Suikoden heroes had it(Not Lazlo though, he was kinda flat; but then, so was his game), and I could name a few others if I really wanted. They were all completely silent, but they still felt like a character because of the power in their actions.

As for silent protagonists...I mostly agree with dragonlife. I like characters with personality, but I still like to have choices (I think Serph is a good example of this). And Link...I hate him. I had fun pretending to be him in Majora's Mask and those four season games, but I haven't really enjoyed a Zelda game since.

At least, that's the way I've always seen it.I liked Souji better than Minato because he had more personality, despite his role being an extension of the player to a degree. Like the scene where you chose to either have a bite or chow down on Yukiko's soba. Even if you chose to only have a bite, Souji ended up chowing down anyway! Or how how about when you can make Souji do some pretty stupid things like licking wasabi from the fridge. xD These small touches give these silent protagonists at least some personality.

But I have to agree that it would've been nice if Souji said stuff near the end. It would've also been nice if Souji's lines that you chose for him were voiced. Facial expressions next to those lines would've been a nice added touch too. Hopefully in the next MegaTen game.

Yeah, don't worry, I've experienced that already, it's when I read the fan fiction about the anime of Kyou Kara Maou, they also made my fav character became a gay... Although half of it was true anyway...

Yeah, Yosuke's voice is superb! The same goes for Yukiko, Kanji, Naoto and Rise's (In US ver) Ever heard of their Japanese voices?? In the Japanese version, Chie and Rise's voice are very "high-pitched" which I think doesn't suit them, while Naoto's voice is more masculine in Japanese version, but her voices are cool in both the Japanese and US version!

because it was such a great and varied cast.

You had the tomboyish Chie, the traditional japanese beauty Yukiko,
the extroverted and fun Rise and the shy and mysterious Naoto.
There is one girl in there for every taste.

Buuuut - my favorite characters were actually Yosuke and Kanji.
Why ? They were involved in the most funny moments of the game,
and made some scenes hilarious.

Oh, my... I've NEVER EVEN thought about her body!! (but, well, of course I don't...) But, if you asked me why I liked Naoto, I couldn't really say the reason for sure... She's have that feeling of a real girlfriend compared to other girls in P4. Most people would choose Naoto, but somehow I don't see Naoto fits to be a girlfriend.

Kanji was pretty cool, but I felt he became too kind in the end, I liked him more when he was "in your face" all the time. Of course, his "meatheadedness" was hilarious at times.

Well I kind of like all of them aside from Teddie. In the beginning he was still ok but later in game he's just annoying. But I have a problem now. I am going through my 2nd game and in the first game I just kept my original team (MC, Chie, Yosuke and Yukiko) as they are really strong by themselves but this time I want to use Naoto for her almighty and instant kill spells but I don't know who should I swap for her. Definitely not Yukiko as her healing and fire spells are awesome. So it's a tie between Yosuke and Chie. I like them both as far as their personality goes but I am not sure whom should I swap... Yosuke is fast and strong with his brave blade, dekaja and ma/garudyne and is usefull for healing if for some reason Yukiko alone can't heal the whole damage. Chie on the other hand is a little slower but much stronger once she gets power up+god's hand and she has awesome follow-up attack (+her tarakukaja (I probably misspelled it... I mean the skill that's increasing attack) is usefull as well just so I don't have to switch personas with MC just to get it myself (I don't have any personas with heat riser yet) on the other hand she doesn't get stronger ice spells. So I guess I should swap out Chie? What do you guys think?

Chie should be replace with either Teddie (if you want better Ice) or Kanji (if you want better physical attack) Chie is somewhat in the middle of these guys.

You can replace Naoto with ANY character, ONLY IF your MC have Persona that capable casting two or more elements. My MC for example, Persona Satan have the ability to cast fire, wind, lightning, and almighty. So, I kept Chie or Teddie for the ice, and replace either Yosuke or Yukiko with Naoto.

Most of the time I didn't replace Yukiko, despite her weakness towards ice attack. At high level, Yukiko able to cast Samarecarm (revive with full health) and Mediarahan (restore full health to party)

So, in this situation, my arrangement will be:-

MC, Teddie, Yukiko, Naoto.

But you must aware that putting Teddie in front line can be dangerous, due to his life point is rather low compared to other character. That's the reason why Yukiko is there. If needed, Teddie should be replace and you get:-

MC, Chie, Yukiko, Naoto (Girls team lol)

For boss battle, it would be:-

1) MC, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko

or

2) MC, Kanji, Teddie, Naoto

The reason why I do such arrangement because MOST of the bosses don't have weak point. So, it doesn't matter how did you arrange your team, as long the team have at least 1 'healer'

I'm not mentioning about her personality -- her Salvation really hits the spot. *hey, am I sound like Teddie?* Followed by Rise. Then it's Chie. Last is Naoto. Well, my likeness towards a character or not depends on their skills though.

Tough choice - I really enjoyed this game's cast, all around.

I suppose my favorite male character would be Kanji...of all the main characters, he's definitely the one that changes the most from his introduction to the game's conclusion.

Favorite female? Naoto, I suppose, if only because she's the only female member of the cast I would actually date (Chie's a little dull, Rise's a little annoying, and Yukkiko feels a little mean-spirited to me).

Chie because she's a fearless girl who allows herself to be a fighter despite what others may think.

He was thrown into a lake, because he had a nosebleed .. he had been considered (he himself, too) gay, because he fell for - a girl - without knowing it.. Poor guy, but great Character!
