I actually pre-ordered this, but never started playing until now thanks to a very nice warm snap (I mostly use the DS outside at night).
Anyway, I just got to the part where they meet Pip.
He seems completely lifted, personality (and voice) wise from South Park. I know he was originally a Dickens character, but this seems more South Parkian. (And also doesn't make much sense in the story, why are there people with English accents? Why doesn't his sister have one, too?)
This is pretty jarring, not as well, stupid as anything Working Designs used to do, but pop culture (even to Dickens) references in games really break the suspension of disbelief, which I think is important to RPGs, even ones like this....
