There where Battletech mock up cockpits in a few BT specific gaming centers planned for the U.S. in the early 90s. This isn't anything new.

I remember going to some place called the "Battletech Center" in Chicago when I was in Jr High, maybe even younger, where they had the cockpits and groups of people would take each other on in Battletech. When you got hit, the thing would shake and klaxons would go off and they had all these little toggles that I assume replaced the F keys above your head in addition to the joystick and buttons on the panel in front of you. I had no idea what I was doing and got suitably decimated.

They also had laser tag and arcade games.

I don't make snowmen. I make snowpeople! And besides, there was barely any snow anyways. Only remarkable thing about it was that I was tired and it caught me off guard, so I took pictures.

I've been away from the message boards for the past couple of weeks. My boss' girlfriend had her baby earlier than expected, so he left me in charge for the next couple weeks. On top of that, I was training for a fight, so now that that's done (the fight, my boss is still gone) i've had a little more free time on my hands.

I've got some pictures of the fight here. It's my 2nd MMA fight (and the first one in a couple years!) So it was pretty hectic for me.

Fight started with alot of kicking, I foolishly kicked the guy back (not a good idea, as many of you already know, I come from a boxing backround.) Dude caught my leg TWICE and punched me in the face, the second time, he threw me to the ground.

Second round came around, my coaches told me to stop screwing around with the kicks and just box him. Turned out to be sound advice as I caught and rocked him twice, forcing him to the fence.

I actually got a take down on him near the end of the 2nd round, I couldn't do much though because the round ended shortly after.

Third round, I went for another take down, got it, went from side control to full mount and started pummeling him.

Dude did a really good job of surviving and not giving me his back (allowing me to choke him.) I wasn't doing enough for the ref to call it and the guy kept stretching his hands out at me so I said screw it and tried for an armbar.

I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to shift my weight fast enough and he'd get out, but I managed to pull it off just fine and caused him to tap out.

Anyways, one hell of a fight, way different than a boxing match, but i'm glad I came out okay. Glad to be back here posting again too. :D

I would like your snow, we get snow maybe once every 3-5 years and never more then half an hour or so. This year sucked cause it snowed around three hours. While I was at work. When I got out, it was a clear sky and my car was frozen. Took me half an hour to pry my door open and clear the windshield.

Sad part is I'd just got an ice scraper to clean my window the week before and left it in my bedroom. Damn lot of good that did me.

The snow is actually as deep as the snow marks on my upper thighs/hips. I'm just standing on some packed-down snow. We are supposed to keep getting steady precipitation until Friday. They originally called for 30 - 40 cm of snow over the last two days. We ended up getting 70 cm and it only stops for a few hours during the day- at least so far.

Neither. I live in Ontario and not even in northern Ontario. I live in "mid" or "mid western" Ontario, I guess. I live in an odd area that is not near any lakes that is considered a snow belt. There are places pretty much not even a half hour away that have no snow, or very little. :|

I think the creeper comment was more of a preemptive warning than anything. Too common an occurence online that a girl posts a picture and then you get hordes of manchildren drooling after her and such. Never a pleasant sight.

^He's good at being cute + infuriating at the same time. He curled in a half-ball on his back when I tried to clip his nails for a good 20 minutes. Just as I was about to give up he leaned back into my hand more and stuck just his back legs/feet straight in the air for me to clip. Wish I could of taken a pic, lol.

Seems I've replaced the Energy Drink guy, cause he lied to them saying that he owned a local pizza store, turns out he only worked there and was stealing pizza, so they fired him. He also took energy drinks and sold them for $5 each, trying to get ppl to sign up to a pyramid scheme where you buy a case of drink then sell them yourself.

And I just give the soda away so it seems I'm more favored lol

Hooray! I finally got my daughter to sit still for a whole 30 seconds without her making a face! Though, she kept giggling like a dork the entire time... I know I personally look like hell.. the pain killers they gave for post-op keep making me sleepy.. but there's too much to do in the day! It's definitely bedtime soon..

If you are using a cell phone camera, it is likely because they have a fixed focus that is set to lock in at about 3-6 feet depending on the model. some of the smartphones with better cameras (like the newer droids with 8 megapixel) have a bit more play and can try and set the focus accordingly, but it is stil limited.

means despite being a HUGE picture, you'll usually get a bit of muddiness to the image. despite this.. the lil guy is SO CUTE... omg i want that as a neck pillow!
