Hermit Arcana Level 8...(maybe a spoiler)

I just finished all the ema requests up to level 8, and I'm at the one where this lady lost her wallet and is starving to death looking down at a trash can. I got her clue, but can't seem to find the wallet she lost even after searching (or button mashing X) all over the riverbed and riverbank. Anyone know where it is?

If I recall, a X button marker turns on when you're at the correct location.

Check behind that little girl at the river. The location her clue suggests. It's in the bushes. The second should be easier to find, over by the shrine.

Sigh* the last one got me, too (if anyone else wants to help me out with this one, too):

I need to catch the big fish (the one after the "Huge Fish" I catch), but am kind of clueless on what the guy meant by his hints. Is there a way to know which fish you're going to catch without losing your bait? Because I keep catching the other mediocre fishes in the pond...(in other words, I don't know how to fish other than letting the game choose which fish I catch...)

You basicly just follow the old man's instructions. Also... rumble is pertty much a must. Those using the older PS3 type contollers are going to have a harder time figuring it out.

You can only catch it when it's raining.... Follow the old mans instructions and push the circle button early, if the rumble feels weak and/or they are biting at a quick rythme. When the 'real deal' bites the rumble will vibrate fairly strong, and there are seemingly long pauses between nibbles, about 2 seconds, I'd guess.. I don't remember how many times it hits the bait, but over 5 times, I'm sure. Then when you reel it in, the circle button just keeps it in place, while the alternate flash type buttons will bring it in. You only have to do about 3-4 of those to bring it in.

You can also check the ripples, I heard. They should be large when you're catching the Guardian.

Let me just say that when it rumbles (Im using a corded, PS2 controller) you'll know. You should be able to feel the rumble before the sinker goes under; just pull your line up BEFORE it goes under if it isn't the fish you want. That will save your bait, but I think it uses up an attempt. (Raise dillegence for more tries).

If you pull it out before the fish snags the bait, you don't lose the bait or attempt. You could keep going doing that.

First you have to do the quest from the avid reader in front of the bookstore. The one where you feed the cat by the river. Then the cat starts showing up by your house. You can talk to it and ask it to help you with that guy who's afraid of cats.

He's the one who gives you the "feed the cat" quest.

You need a kitty to present him with a cat (for some reason, you can only use the one one front of the Dojima Residence; maybe it's more cuddly than the one in the Plains?). The mission's not that hard, though. Just catch a fish and feed it.

That's an extra quest. Feed 10 more fishies to it and see what happens...
