Can you? I plan to try but is it possible to steal the Darklings equips?

Darklings do not use equipment. They are naked AFAIK.

You can, but it pretty much involves having control of both the Darkling and the character you want to give the items to. In other words - CHEATING. (Dun dun dun...)
