Persona 4 Progress Thread! *Spoilers*

I looked around and didn't see one so I thought I'd do it. As you can see from the 'Title' this is a progress thread. So c'mon, share all the progress you've made!

My update *SPOILERS* -

4/20, and I'm a little past 10 hours in. Started three social links: Fool, Magician, Chariot, and I've joined the school's soccer team (man, it was tough choosing, though). The last thing I did was save Yukiko from the castle, but I haven't got to use her Persona yet. That castle really cost me - I lost a lot of my good items. And I'm going to football practice next time I pick up the game.

I'm also one of the those that like Teddie. I too tried just touching him. But he got knocked over. I never wanted to hurt him! Why did they make me hurt him? :(


Oh and Chie is my girl. I already tried to make a move, but apparently I'm lacking the 'courage'. Pfft... I sure as hell have enough courage. Just give me the chance dammit!

I played it for about 2 1/2 days, just rescued Rise and Yukiko/Preistess is at Level 8. Trying to max out her and Naoto, Heirophant, and Justice.

Stupid Magus and their ####ing Zionga spells. And why don't they have a weakness?

I hope I saved it relatively lately.

I finished rescuing Rise, and got Chie's social link to 10~! Now I'm forcing myself to slow down because I played it a bit to much. XD

I pushed Teddy during that part, I found it so funny he couldn't get up.

My save file was messed with today so I have to do around 4 hours of the game over again. I had to save Yukiko again and got a few hours done, but I'm not quite back to where I want to be yet. I'm working on two essays for this week so I haven't got to play much.

I'm just glad I had more than one save file. It would have sucked if I had to restart the game for 30 minutes of lost gameplay.

Lol, everyone is so far a head. I want to play more, though. It's just that school won't let me. Good game to the person that got done already. Also, there is New Game + if you want to do it all over a second time. ^_^;

I'm enjoying the game slow too, and since I'm in EXPERT I also should do some grinding. o.o
And I can't believe there's a basketball team in this game. I love basket man! xD

Get the Resist Physical skill from Slime, and fuse it up to something current. Also, Tarunda/Sukunda/Rakukaja.

Got my ass kicked by the pixel/dungeon boss and had to use 3 continue items, but Im about to go after Naoto. Ive been playing about 3-4 days, so about 40 hours.

just finished beating matsuo's shadow. man he IS such an ass. used up all my continue item coz of fear and ghastly wail combo. i'm just glad it's over.

Just got to Naoto's section of the storyline, but I haven't even opened the dungeon yet(Stopped as I got to it, so still on clue hunting).

I died once to Matsuo's shadow to an unlucky fear+ghastly wail. I got overconfident because I couldn't even see his health anymore, figured I could finish it in one turn, but found myself to be mistaken. Reloaded, and played it more defensively the next try and it was relatively easy.

The school trip was great. So many Persona 3 references to catch(Also...wow to Ms. Student Council president, talk about a new attitude), and I even managed to pick Chie during the King game. XD

Yup just got them both, myself and yes teddy owns. He was a way better character then I thought he was going to be.

I FAQ'd up after the hospital with Namatame. I was like "I wanna push him!!!!" but knew that would be a bad idea. Izanami is scary. *cowers*

haha i see. well, the worst(?) ending is quite possibly the most touching, imo. that last battle was definietly a nail biter!

Wow, everyone is really ahead of me! :o This is my first time through my game, and the difficulty level is normal. I'm away from home, but I think the date is June something. (I pay more attention to the weather reports than the actual dates. The same thing happened with P3 with the Lunar Cycle.)

When I get home, I'm going to fight the third dungeon boss for the first time. I think that I sufficiently leveled up for the fight, have a nice range of persona's to choose from, and equipped my crew with the best I could get. Now I'm just going to go through and hope to stay alive long enough to figure out its tactics.

(Is it sad that I keep a compostion book nearby, so that I could write down the correct answers for the tests and any information that maybe important for the long run?) Too much information indeed. :tongue:

I just got to November's dungeon. I'll avoid saying who. I expected this to happen, but things really started moving once you got all the characters(And had a little break filled with fun and hilarity). I'm going to have a hard time holding off beating it. Perhaps it's time to do random quests, haha.

Also: Teddy as Alice was quite possibly one of the funniest things I've seen in a video game...skipping...sparkling...I almost fell off my couch laughing at that whole scene!

Just died in True Ending final dungeon on the 8th floor. I forgot to switch back to my persona with enduring soul. :o

As much as I like that dungeon, that one part is poorly designed. You find a Research Key on Floor 6, take that back to Floor 3 and unlock the door there. Then you'll find the key for the room on Floor 6, which leads to Floor 7. -.-;

Finally found my memory card last night, and so I have another decent update...! Played for about 5 hours today. In that time I've done quite a bit of level grinding and have managed to defeat the boss fight in Yukikio's castle (the one that is there after I rescued her). I've also started a few s.Links; with Nanako, the fox, drama club member... I think that's it. The last thing I did was go home after starting the s.Link with the fox.

Sorry, not the best update, but I promise to start playing a lot more in the upcoming days before I get my playstation 3!

I'm ready to complete the game, but I am waiting on a cheat code to fix an S-Link I messed up and don't feel like redoing when I have 3 days left to complete it for the True Ending (going back to a even further back save means sitting through a ton of plot and fighting the two mini bosses in the final dungeon). I plan to do a New Game+ as well.

I agree with you all the way on that (the boss before that gave me the most trouble).

Anyways, I am in November, but I am taking a break because I started another file (Don't ask why, that is just how I roll). On this file I have been barging through the game and I have been playing since midnight today (So as I am posting this message, about 8 Hours). Lucky for me that I have a bunch of Mountain Dew, because I am looking at an all nighter here (Yeah for me, I think).

Also, sorry if the first sentence in my post is considered a spoiler (Hopefully it isn't)

I think I'm in at 5/19. I just stopped playing because I died in my first attempt at rescuing Kanji. The place was much bigger than Yukiko's castle and I tested my limits a little too much. I'm going to start it up again tomorrow and do some level grinding on the lower floors. Hopefully get some good Personas to fuse.

They level with exp(Only the Persona you currently have active, or those with the Growth trait get exp at the end of battle). Also, when you fuse a persona of an arcana in which you have a social link, they will gain exp from the social link(How much depends on the level of the link). Both 3 and 4 use this system, though someone else will have to tell you about the previous two, I've yet to get a copy of those.

Progress:

I beat the game! I actually saw all three endings(dodging the bad ending on December 3rd is a pain -.-), but I finished with the True Ending, and refused to save my new cycle data until then, haha.

I had expected this game to feel overly familiar with its similarity to P3, but I found that to be far from the case. While it was very easy to pick up with a small learning curve, the game still felt fresh and interesting. I applaud Atlus for making just the right changes, and creating such an interesting new storyline, while still falling back on what worked before.

Now to start round 2! :D

i asked 'cause i saw a p2 walkthrough on youtube, and it said that they leveled up by using their skills/abilities.
