My real name is not Hank Peters, my first name is Ryan, and it's obvious that I have an interest in Atlus titles. Now, let's get started by me giving you a little bit of a scenario of what my life is all about. I recently got accepted into UAB for a major in Music Technology, I work part-time as a busboy/sandwich maker, and I have been a musician for about five years now. I really like music (my CD collection rounds up to 250 disks) and I really like video games. Some of my favorite TV shows include Superjail, Mr. Show, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, and Mystery Science Theater 3000. Sometimes I like to read manga and watch anime, but not really as often as I'd like to. Favorites include Sgt. Frog, Spice and Wolf, Cowboy Bebop, Bobobo, and Full Metal Alchemist. Whenever I get the time I try to do some writing for a smallvideo game website (www.vgtribune.com), but again, not nearly as often as I'd like to.

Sorry, that last paragraph was really boring. Time to get zany now! I'm telling you, people always say I'm unpredictable and oft

HAHA, SEE?! THAT LAST PARAGRAPH CUT OFF AND WAS TOTALLY UNEXPE

edit - I'm personally not into these intro threads, but that was uncalled for. Are you really that bored? - Kakizaki.

You seem like a nice guy.

Although perhaps a little misguided. Perhaps you should rewrite that?

I'm not sure what else to add. I thought I addressed all my key interests quite clearly. But thanks for the greetings!

^Maybe he is suggesting that since we really don't know you that well yet, it is a better idea to have a short and simple introduction. Humor / too much info / etc doesn't always go over too well until you have warmed up to the crowd. Just a friendly suggestion.

Do you like video game music or keep it strictly to vocalized/band music? Or listen to both?

Both. It's harder to find/purchase OSTs, but I try to go of my way if it's really special. I just love music in general. Favorites outside the video game relm include Faith No More, Ornette Coleman, John Zorn, Frank Zappa, Carcass... basically, Jazz, Rock, Classical, and Death Metal (with some Hip-Hop on the side).
EDIT: Completely forgot about Devo, The Residents, The Melvins, Mr. Bungle, Primus, The Aquabats, Eric Dolphy... I can't even remember the rest off the top of my head.

Anywho, Welcome

I posted the Aquabats for a reason! I plan on seeing RBF and Streetlight Manifesto next month, despite the fact that I haven't listened to ska in years. A friend lent me a copy of RBF's live album and I was more than convinced that it was necessary to go.

This is a friendly thread.

Welcome, Hank.
Usually these newcomer threads are the friendlier ones. So long as you don't say anything stupid like I think I did my first week on here you'll be good. :p
