Anyway, the people today were given one day to respond. I think some people are just horrible at responding. This happened with the Devil Summoner contest we did, too. All you had to do was respond to an email if you got drawn. I had to redraw for over half of the prizes.

They probably forgot about it, or don't feel like training their characters. I myself completely forgot about this thing until the e-mail came to me to confirm me being in the drawing. After getting that, I immediately started to train again in hopes of getting drawn (in which I did).

Two ideas Manly

1. Send a broadcast email to everyone saying first come, first serve on the remaining spots. *I don't like this idea but it might work
2. Send out another email filling the remaining spots and cut it off at 32, that way you can do a 24-8 bracket setup. It should run 24-12-6-3 and 8-4-2-1 which would make a 4 person end block with fights for the final 3. *I like this much better

Hey guys, I'm doing my second runthrough for that last little bit of grinding, and I was wondering, what are the best Lapis and where do you get them (I know it may be "helping an opponent", but I'll find them eventually anyway, so it's just a nice deed). Aren't there purple lapis or something to that effect that are better than the red? Oh, and what side-quests are worth doing, and when are the best items available?

Do you plan to join if there is another tourney? Because if there is another one, you might want to keep a save file of your lvl 45 characters because if there is another tourney, MB might or might not change the lvl cap that much. But do whatever you want.

Depending on the person, if they have a good recorder, they could. That'd make for alot of work though and could end up causing bad blood if the winner used it to rub it in. Suddenly I want to see if my camcorder can record my DS screen.

All very good questions... :confused: Wish I could help you there... all I can say is that I find MEDITATE to be the best lapis! I use VIM, too. I wish I knew if it was worth using those "dark magic up 20%" lapis... cause it seems like upping your magic (i.e. Magic +20) would be the better bet. But I haven't actually compared damage, so... don't know!

I was actually hoping I'd be able to CREATE Lapis stones by combining them or something (like in some games!)... but I don't think we can do that. Which is a little odd, since you can't get rid of the low-level Lapis at all... Just clutters my selection screen... ;-0

I have a feeling most teams and setups are going to be about the same which is really going to force the tactics to be top-notch. If you lose to someone be kind and don't give away how they did it.

I've got a few really good setups I've built but they can quickly and very brutally be murdered if people know what is coming.

You can leave. Technically, chain battles are only your 2 battles in a row, where you retain FD and HP levels and regain some mana. Once you finish those 2 battles, you can leave and save. Make sure to talk to someone in a bikini!

Well, I wasn't connecting in general to the internet, so I had to manually input the IP Address and all that stuff into the DS.
I've managed to be disconnected from random people twice. I think they've been dropping once they realized they were completely outclassed, which is... pretty lame, as that apparently leaves me with nothing. Unless my signal has been breaking and yet leaving me on the service...

I thought you did pretty well, but I'd be a bit more careful with characters that can heal/revive, cuz after they go down, there's no way to recover lost ground. Good luck to you, too. even though i am out i still check on the forums, I stick around for the sole purpose of seeing your demise canuckgamer as i am a actual Canadian, and your not, lol. J/K, this is the first time i seen atlus do something like this so i am sticking around to see obviously who the victor is, and see which players maybe upsets the outcome of the tourney, i.e slaying of master of the zombots from Ezekial. That and there are some cool people in this forum to communicate and chat with, and though it is the first tournament, aside from the no shows everyone is being honest with match reporting which is good to see and makes the tournament more enjoyable.

it's actually near the end of round 3, the bracket has just been cut off a line to show the most recent activity, but yes a winner draw nigh.

Well because it's not a random game but a masterpiece.

Xenogears was a very good game for its time; the script itself is a little lackluster and it borrows heavily from other sources, but it's really quite likable, especially for people who like to talk to NPCs and such. In fact, a lot of thought went into the game that isn't really shown through just the plot; if you go through the Perfect Works book there's a hell of a lot more information.

What I don't like is Xenosaga, because it's just... it doesn't have the same feel as Xenogears.

But yeah, people do just flock to random games. Sure, some of them deserve it, and some of them don't.

Why's it hard to understand why it has a following, though? Taken alone it is just a standard RPG, but even standard RPGs deserve some lovin'. \o/
