I just finished Thige's routh and it didn't seem like an ending and after the credit it said that the gate isn't open and let me save a clear file so...
1. What the hell?did I pick a wrong routh or something?
2.Do I need to play all three to get a normal ending or something?
3.What does the clear file get me if I load it?
Thanks for answering
Even though this thread is already marked "spoilers," I'm going to write in spoiler mode (highlight to read), just in case:
Each of the three main characters has a good and bad ending. To get each character's good ending, you have to accomplish something specific to that character. In Thage's case, you have to pay a visit to an old "friend" of hers. In the second stratum (the first time the path branches into three parts), have Thage start up the middle (Aether) route. At some point, your characters will start to sense a presence that they cannot yet see. Follow their instructions (if I remember correctly, it'll be something like "Kill everything except the Aquamote" <--- this may not be right, one of the characters with her should tell you what to do). When you've done that, after that battle ends, another will begin and you'll find a boss majin that Thage has a close connection to. Defeat him, and you're guaranteed the good ending (unless you allow Thage to die before that).
Hope that helps!

To answer #3, the clear file should transfer over your main character levels, so Thage, Raki, and what'shisname should have the same levels they had at the end of your game. But you can't transfer that data to another character's route, you have to start over fresh and make a new save for each character.
Basically, it'll make Overkilling enemies, bosses in particular, easier so that you can catch them and get their data in the listing.
Protip: You'll want to catch at least one of every monster, afaik
Protip 2: It's only really worth doing this with Olifen, since he has 4 characters to keep the levels for as opposed to 3.
