Remember Your Preorder Artbook!

Retail's a crazy place, especially this time of year. As someone who used to work with point of sale system software, I can say that while computers don't lie, they do often like to make our puny human lives miserable.

To that end, we're trying to help alleviate some of the problems people are experiencing trying to obtain their Spoils and advising you to take some precautionary measures. (An ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure and all that...)

If you pre-ordered Luminous 2 or any of the other Atlus Spoils titles from a participating brick & mortar store, please call the store in advance and ask if they are aware of the pre-order artbook that should be coming with your pre-order of the title. If they are not aware, or say that the books are not in stock, ask them if they could inform the store manager so that the books are shipped and that you get one.

Well, I figured I'd call today, and the guy assured me I'd get my art book. Hopefully he comes through for me.

I think I got a new guy at first, 'cause when I said (after some talk, of course), "Sorry to be a pain, but can you inform your store manager about making sure it (the store) gets the art books?" He asked me if I could hold on, told his co-worker, and I heard, "You wanna take care of this one?" XD The second guy seemed understanding toward my pleas and was the one that assured me...

Hopefully they pull through.

It seems the new guy had no idea about the art book, so hopefully my talking to them does something! Again, thanks very much for the advice, Manly Biceps. I'll report back the 19th.

First post ever and it is to complain about not getting the Artbook; Don't worry, I am a stalker Atlus fan and I didn't even know that the forums existed. Well, I am here, going to enjoy the community and I hope that I make many friends.

Ok, I talked to the GameStop employees where I reserved my Art Book and they told me they only received a couple and they ran out! That it is "first come, first serve"; well, when I hear that when you preorder, you get something, I wish to get it and it makes me sad that I didn't! :very_sad:

Is there a way that I am still able to get my art book ( Edit: ) Because they said there is nothing they can do!

noticed something about the artbook..a blob of color in one of the sketches near sadie's face on page 35, it seems the wind attribute is cursed with mistakes.. The manual also has a mistake on page 31 and fails to describe wind attribute by repeating the description of water in place for wind

Hmm...if we're going to point out mistakes, (^) I did notice on Richter's description "...searching for an worthy challenger..."

Pages 35 (Sadie) ^ and 36 (Richter) are the only ones that I saw with slight discrepancies in an otherwise perfect art book, so no biggie.

yea those mistakes aren't that big of a deal, the thing that matters is the game, which has been pretty good to me so far..and thought i'd point em to kinda of guage if it wasnt just me that had those mistakes

The Gamestop I reserved at was totally out of them too. But the staff there is great, so they called up the nearest other Gamestop and I had my artbook within the hour. If it happens to anyone else, assuming it's not too late, maybe try asking if they can call around.

^- That's similar to what happened in my experience, only I checked in advance to see if my local GameStop was going to be receiving any artbooks (which they weren't). The employee helpfully called a sister store 35 miles away and secured a delivery for me. The same girl handed me my fresh artbook along with the game when I picked up my reservation. I must say, kudos to her for doing that. Nice to see. It's a bit late, but I might suggest to imminent LA2 purchasers to check with any store employees in hopes of discovering any unclaimed artbooks.

It shows as in stock. E-mail them about it, and at the very least, they should change your shipping to Express for free.

*sigh* I only learned about Luminous Arc 2 a day after it had shipped, sadly all my local game stores had either "never heard of any art book?" or "we don't bother with such things." I have seen some of the sample pages people have scanned and posted, now it really hurts.

I never thought of that...its true that now amazon.ca has games too :D

It's also true that you can get your ordered item about three to ten months late though. I've waited about 6 months to receive a set of books that was in stock at the time I ordered :bs:

Lucky you, although there's a HQ in the province next to ours about 6~8 hours drive... but it doesn't seem to affect anything much XD

Also amazon tends to drop the price.
I've seen games drop 3-4 bucks before release.

My friend was buying it for me as a Xmas gift, we missed preorder, but we had one store with only one shelf copy try to tell us it didn't even come with a soundtrack :evil: Can't trust them for bonus extras! I've been gipped out of them before.
