Blue Dragon Plus

Was reading the preview for Blue Dragon Plus on Gamespot today. They say it's a sequel for the DS and has been turned into a quasi-RTS game. I have no love loss for the gameplay of the 360 version so such a change is fine with me. It did sound pretty fun but I've heard mixed opinions on the game. Has anyone here played the JP version, is this worth keeping an eye on?

Yeah I'm no fan of the 360 game. This one looks totally different gameplay wise so perhaps it has a chance.

edit: Here's a trailer with some gameplay so people like myself that are rather unfamiliar with it can judge it better.
