Model: 80G (from the MGS4 bundle), 4 USB ports
Issue(s):
1. Dialogue-scene text is in the background, but not much of an issue due to voice-overs.
2. Corrupted save-files (!) -- I highly recommend atleast 3 save-files for back-up purposes! It seems random whether or not a file gets corrupted, and it's inconsistent -- one minute a file will be fine, but the next unusable. Mainly when attempting to Load a file from the town/hub; no issues with loading from the start, yet.

Other Options:
1. Full screen (stretched for 16x9) or Normal
2. Smooth (or not)
Looks great with Normal, Smooth!
No issues with CGs or voice-overs.

...I've thought about moving my save-file over to the PS2 (from the PS3 - is that even possible, with the adapter? I haven't tried it....) simply because of the corrupted save-file thing. But I want to play it on my PS3. :p

....I've been playing for 9+ hours now on my PS3 (80G, with 4 USB slots) and besides the occasionally corrupt file when going to the load screen in-town, there have been no freezes, stutters or other issues. And even with files being corrupt, they seem to go back to normal after awhile. <_<
So yeah, have four save-files ya rotate amongst, and enjoy! :)
imho, This game is a mix of Stella Deus and Shin Megami Tensei....

I just realized that the "corrupt file" isn't actually corrupt. It says it is, but exit out of the screen and go back in. May take 2 or 3 times, but it magically becomes uncorrupted. Which leads me to believe it was never corrupt in the first place. Just some issues reading the file.
My first playthrough was on my PS2, but I thought the PS3 might speed up loading a bit for my second. Maybe it's just me, but I swear it's actually slower loading...
Guess I'll have to keep that PS2 plugged in a while longer.
NOTE: I'm using an 80GB PS3 with software backwards compatibility.

....completed! Only took me about 24 hours or so. ;p
But yeah, worked fine on the PS3 -- if there was one more thing that caused issues consistently, it was removing/unequipping all my majin from the lineup near the end of the game and then going anywhere else, including the save room or weapon shop. The game would literally freeze, requiring a restart. I tested it about 3 times, and got the same result....
Other than that, though, Thage's Good Ending was satisfactory! Plan on playing Olifen's path next....
