I work at a restaurant so I regularly have my notepad and a pencil, well after orders I place my pencil on my right ear, well there's times when I look for my pencil and cant find it so I begin looking for it only to figure out minutes later that its on my ear....I really hate that. do you guys ever have that type of thing happen to you?

The most embarrassing one was when I thought I had lost my glasses. I was really tired and running around getting ready for class, and couldn't find them! I always leave them on the same spot - my dresser. So then I glanced at the mirror.

Yeah.

In all seriousness, I used to forget I was wearing my glasses all the time, and would often fall asleep with them on which wasn't too good for their frame. Lasik 4TW.

All the time! I can't really think of any right now, but I've fallen victim to some really stupid ones, like looking for something you already have on your hand, etc.

My favorite version of this is when I misplaced my cell phone... ... ... In my pocket. I was looking for it for like 10 minutes, then I was like, "Screw it, I'll call my own cell phone."

I dialed my cell phone number one my house phone, and then felt a vibrating sensation in my pocket.

All I could say after that was, "I'm a frickin' idiot."

I have a bad habit of forgetting something I really need when I'm going out and not remembering until I'm half-way there. It usually happens if I get rushed. Yes, I'm a woman.

This doesnt happen a lot, but a couple times I've forgotten to save my work in paintshop then decide to restart my pc, not realizing this until after I've already clicked the button.

I forgot my inner child on the train tracks. O_O

Anyway, just this morning I forgot I haven't set my alarm clock back an hour, and I have an appointment at 10:15. So I wake up and look at my clock and it's like "9:35" So I was like "Oh ####, I'ma be late like crazy!!" Get in my car and as soon as I get on the freeway, I look at the clock in my car and it says "8:45" (Which was the accurate one) *facepalm*

I am a very forgetful person. Just recently, I forgot to pick my cousin up from the mall. At the time I had been at home, ready to turn in for my daily nap - when I stopped to think. Seriously. It was one of those 'I think I'm forgetting something' moments. The next thing I knew - I immediately jumped into my car and went to pick him up. Found him 2 hours later at the McDonalds next door - passed out after eating 3 cheeseburgers and 2 Mcflurrys. I felt sooooo bad afterwards.

If I play my DS while lying in bed, I forget to take my contacts out before going to sleep.

I usually use my cell phone to check the time and one time I was searching around my room for the phone to check said time all the while I was actually talking on the phone while looking for it! I deserved a punch in the face for that one.

I usually listen to music before going to sleep so when I'm done I place it under my pillow...It sounds all good exempt for the part where I'm suppose to take my headphones out.......I have ruined so many headphones that way.

I will start walking up my stairs and when I get to the top, I forgot why I went up so I walk back down only to remember why I went up in the first place.

I'm actually getting much better at this as I get older

back when I was in a band touring the continent (punkrocker271 knows what I'm talking about) I would leave my wallet (yes, my WALLET) all over the place in various clubs, bars, hotel rooms and never remembered where I left it... my friends would often find it for me. the van keys often went through the same treatment, just as bad as the wallet since the cashbox's key was on the same ring.

this hasn't happened in a couple years though.

Every time I work on a game, by the time it comes out 4 or 5 months later, I forgot everything I did on it. I've laughed out loud at jokes I wrote before remembering that I wrote them.

No offense, but you'd be an absolutely terrible stand-up comic.

I usually take DS games out of my DS and then put them in the case of whatever game I'm playing next. Once I went through nearly my entire DS collection looking for a game before I finally found it-right in it's own case.

......ew.

Seriously, man, that's kind of gross. But I take care of my games to the point of OCD, so...

I think my most spectacular moment of forgetting things in obvious places is spending several minutes trying to find my glasses. Which, naturally, were on my face.

It was still sealed... they used that annoying rubber cement to glue the artbook to the game..
I usually do keep better care of my games all of the ones I own are still in the same condition I got them as maybe except for my X-Com UFO Defense

Oh! I just remembered! It's not exactly "forgetting," per se, but it is silly...

Anyway, on some occasions when I eat breakfast and stand up to return the cereal and milk to their proper place, I put the cereal in the fridge and the milk atop the fridge XD

I think there was another crazy one where I put the empty bowl in the fridge, milk atop the fridge, and put the cereal box in the sink...but I am not quite sure XD It's usually the former, though.

I played drums in a high school band, and we played our first show in front of the school. I forgot the verse, because I was nervous, so I stopped playing. So when the chorus came, I played the verse :(. But I did a totally self centered drum solo after the song, which made things better.

I forget what I'm doing at work all the time. Literaly, not a clue at all what I'm doing. Sometimes I have to write notes on the palm of my hand to remind me what I need to do and cross out what I have left to do. Also, I forget rarely when I need to go to the bathroom. Stand in front of the toilet looking at it and I just cant remember why I went there in the first place. Normaly the urge returns within a few minutes though so I'm quickly reminded why I went to the bathroom in the first place.

When ever I lose something, which seems to be often, it's always in my pants. Wait, let me explain. I rarly empty out my pockets from the day before. This resulted in a washing of the cellphone once.
But mainly my wallet, whih has also been washed multipul times.

I was talking to the store manager the other day and forgot what I was saying and what I was doing. Thankfully he knows the only reason I'd try talking to him so after asking me if I'd finished everything, he let me go home for the day. God, this is like the 3rd time this month.
