This is a very interesting read, but are somethings mentioned that people might consider spoilers.

Nice impressions, kinda sucks some of the things I was worried about is actually there in the preview build but I'm still getting it :)
Kotaku has some imrpessions too. (http://kotaku.com/5082346/persona-4-makes-it-personal)

I like how one of the previewers refers to Japanese as moon language.

I have a BA in Japanese and lived there for almost three years. Trust me, it feels like that often.

Do know if guy's already read this, but rpgfan post a review on the Japanese version of Persona 4:
http://www.rpgfan.com/reviews/persona4/index.html
This guy gave 90% to P3:Fes and 94% to P4. So, according to this guy, Persona 4 is better and from what i read in the preview on the web, it seem to be true =D

Hm, that was a pretty interesting read. Thanks for putting the link to it up Flußkönig.

With regards to better game play, I strongly urge to believe that Persona 4 will clearly surpass its predecessors. I gave the Persona 3 with 9.12 out 10 and FES with 9.35 out of 10. I believe, in terms of graphics, music and specially game play and story, Persona 4 will be a sure hit. :)

well i agree with you enzo but the "better graphics" is only partially true; P4 uses the same engine as P3 the only REAL difference is they animated the motions and stuff more smoothly.

Yup2. :) Exactly, they also added some colorful themes in their dungeons that is either a bad or a good thing. Some people can't stand colorful levels coz it could strain their eyes, but for me I like the colorful and changing themes for the Dungeons rather than the previous monotonous tartarus in P3. :)

yeah i really like the new dungeon setup (unfortunately i got a peek at a few), its got nice detail and coloring, but its also more enjoyable. Visually they look more spacious. But man... tartarus... i was like "this is awesome!" until i finished the first block, its waaaay too reptitive.

I preffered the last floor of tartarus, since it was the most different of 'em all.
Also that one where they use all the colors was kinda fun in a way. But yeah, it was all the same, even in The Answer it felt too much like Tartarus.

Not only the place is monotonous, also is the music. I noticed that in every block, they only change some arrangements on the music which is generally the same. In FES though, they added four more tracks which will do us nicely. But I hope in Persona 4, they will like change music in each theme.

What do you mean? The last block in tartarus? Or the disco music theme which is part of the four added musics in FES?

He means that block I was talking about where they start using different colors and does have a major disco theme.
And also, they added 1 instrument with each block... well 1 or 2, I think it varied.

Oh, I see. Well, thats the only block that has different theme in P3/FES. :)

im almost completely sure that persona 4 does NOT have the changable dungeon theme music. However, each dungeon has their own song, so you will get a get in music.

Sweet. At least every new dungeon I will go to, it'll be fresh and cool. Thanks for the info. :)

I really don't have the complete soundtrack of Persona 4, I only have the opening song and the battle theme song. I want to be surprised by the soundtracks when I get the game. A question though, do you know how many songs are included in the included soundtrack CD?

The soundtrack is split into two discs;
- disc A is included with the game and contains 25/27 songs
- disc B comes ONLY in the Social Link Expansion Pack available on Amazon.ca and contains the remaining 27/52 songs

Oh, ok. But I'm not pre-ordering the social link expansion pack. Oh man. I'll be missing a lot of songs.

I'll share it if you have the nocturne soundtrack. Can't find the complete one for the life of me.
