Well I rented Lost Odyssey about 6 or 8 months back, can't really recall where I left off, but just recently bought the game, should I just load my old save or start over?
I think I was still on disc 1.

I always start a new game in these situations...
Which is like all the time since I can never finish anything. :(

Just load the game back up. Don't worry about forgetting what the plot was, it wasn't important really.

Just load, the plot wasn't really good anyway. You can read the dreams at any time and those were the interesting mini-plots in the game.

I put this one down and never got back into it. I couldn't bear the thought of sinking hours into an RPG with a reportedly so-so story and a battle system I knew I wouldn't like (not keen on traditional RPG battles anymore) just so that I could read the dreams. Reading a good book would be easier to accomplish that goal...
To the OP, I'd say pick up where you left off.

It all depends on your decisions, such as are you happy with your save or not.

I usually start a new game. But, that's just my own personal quirk.

I recomend starting over. Even if the story is one you'll forget a year from now, why cheapen the experience now that it's your game and not a rental?

Actually, you might want to think about trading that in for a decent game. I hated Lost Odyssey.

Yeah thats what I decided to do, I missed a lot of stuff before cause I was rushing so I could save cause I had to go somewhere >.> so I ended up missing a lot of stuff. But I'm almost back where I was.
I like it so far Yazarc, so I'll be keeping it.

Not something one would consider a "glowing review" for an RPG, eh?

If I was in your position I'd just load up the save and figure everything out from there.

Good choice, whenever I am in that situation I always decide to just restart the game. I would just be too irritated if something happened in the game and I didn't understand what or why was happening because I forgot something that happened earlier in the game.

It's not necessarily a bad game, per se. There were just somethings about it that made it forgettable.
