And no witty posts about real jobs! This is of course referring to the jobs in Dokapon Kingdom. What is your favourite? What is your least favourite? Any job you think is more powerful than others? What do you think about their designs? Just a handful of the many topics! :] For practical reasons, we won't consider Darkling as a job as it's a temporary contract.
In multiplayer I've had very, very good experiences with the thief. It's fun to formulate ways of stealing from other players while still reaching my desired space. The best part is there seems to be no limit as to what can be stolen; even quest items are up for grabs! It's quite something when someone works so hard to get something to bring to the king in Story Mode only to have it stolen and turned in by the thief instead. That and their high speed combined with Escape makes it very difficult to punish a thief for their crimes.
Cleric seems like a very potential job with high HP and defense growth, combined with multiple forms of healing. I'd really like to experiment with different stat builds sometime. Maybe a nearly unkillable cleric with lower-than-average attack power? Who knows!
P.S. I hate the female warrior design. :[ They have less coverage than the magician! Why are they nearly nekkid while the male warrior gets to wear full protective armor? Darn you Sting Entertainment for giving in to a modern convention that should just die. :[
Thief seems overpowered so far!. Still haven't unlocked more classes :(

Really? I always pick thief, but speed is such an unreliable stat that I find it almost a disadvantage compared to strength and magic.
In my experience, the Magicians seems to take names early on, exploiting everyone's terrible resistance to magic.

As a thief, I don't fight fair. I won't take on any class head-on since they're pretty bad at combat. The key is to pick on the weak and let the other players do the hard work. :3
As a thief, I have no problems with magicians. That high SP will prevent most magic from hitting me and if I'm afraid, I'll just follow them around and keep stealing any magic they have! >:D

Yeah, speed is great against field magic, but I haven't noticed if it has an effect on in-battle magic. If it does, then the thief might be a lot better than I thought.

The only jobs I've seen besides the base three are cleric and monk. Cleric looks like it'll be a favorite for me... because as a magician I found it very difficult to do any significant damage to one.
I like the magician as well, but I tend to get pulverized in battle, especially early on because the early battle spells suck, and are very expensive. By the time I get to the second continent, though, I'm usually the top dog as a magician, at least until the cleric shows up.
Eventually I have a feeling that alchemist will be a very fun class to play, as it appears to be magician-based (yay spells!) while having some nifty abilities.

Alchemist is VERY fun and very profitable. It encourages keeping at least one of a valuable item or spell in your inventory because the automatic duplication happens a lot. o__o It's like hacking the game legitimately! During Story Mode I found a DeathCall. This DeathCall would be duplicated constantly until job change. The computer would always recover at a temple far away while I'd be on the southwestern continent (seperated by the dungeon.) As soon as he came back alive, I'd cast it again which was VERY cheap. Not to mention it seems they have a really high salary, in combination with being able to duplicate gemstones among other things.
Of course the alchemist, if not raised as a heavy fighter, is at a loss in combat. Which is why they're at their best just keeping their distance and dropping spells while they duplicate more. Even then with the right wand, raised as a thief/cleric/monk, my alchemist was a sorta decent fighter! ^___^
Then I changed to the hidden job (which I found accidentally):
Robo Knight. Wow. BIG mistake. I didn't like it at all. The ability to occasionally control where I moved wasn't as amazing as I thought. The outfit is nice (not as nice as alchemist!) but not much appealed to me. The high Def growth was kind of boring considering I already had a lot from mastering cleric. I'm sure others like Robo Knight. Just not me.

So, my husband and I have been playing for a week now. He has obtained alcehemy and I am now a Ninja (Warrior + Thief) . . . . A Ninja is awesome . . . not as fun as a thief, but still as cool. I can do a doge roll to "miss" an attack on me, and can use two items (not spells) in one term; therefore I can also hold twice the amount of items in my bag than before. I also got this item in the Shrunken Temple location called "Lost Technology" that appears to unlock another class after mastering Alcehemy and Monk. :) Way cool, eh? And hubby loves Alcehemy because he keeps duplicating the 4-spinners and Super-spinners. We're just ending Wekk 59 now . . . .

Lost Technology unlocks what I covered in my spoiler tags above. I wasn't very pleased!

Sorry for the double post!Yeah, speed is great against field magic, but I haven't noticed if it has an effect on in-battle magic. If it does, then the thief might be a lot better than I thought. After extensive play it seems in-battle magic never misses. Either get MG, an anti-magic skill or burn to a crisp. @___@
Thankfully my thief went alchemist so I have pretty high MG at this point!

MG also helps in-battle magic damage and SP helps dodge and accuracy.
I tried thief first job and went all SP, doesn't really help you dodge as much as I hoped in-battle but at least I can hit every1 with field magic and dodge theirs.
