CD Soundtrack Question

Actually a soundtrack is a great idea. Ys has always been known for its fantastic music.

The Japanese got a soundtrack CD with the games when Ys DS and Ys II DS were released on a special box. It also included two keychains and maybe something else. It would be nice if Atlus USA could do something similar with their Legacy of Ys: Books I & II.

They're already doing it with LA2, so packing in a CD for this game (in a series that's known for its awesome music) would be a no-brainer!

I'm not entirely sure if I want anything other then the game. I mean, Atlus has already spoiled me enough with their "spoils" so far. I don't want them to spoil it for me....gee, that was the greatest pun ever. >.<

If I HAD to have a choice, a soundtrack CD would be lovely since I love the composer's work. Maybe we could get the bonuses Japan got or something similar? I just want the game. lolz

I cant wait to get the chance to finally play these-- always interested in the series, but never got around to tracking down the older titles (if they were released here). Sounds like a CD would be the best option, but I wouldnt mind a keychain myself lol

I have played both Japanese games for the DS. They are a great asset to the Action RPG genre for the DS.

The revised soundtrack is dynamic!!! The new level in the first game was grand... Well worth the money to play!!! I have beat the first game in Japanese & I'm stuck on the Y's II in the Solomon Shrine part... I know that I must use the staff to transform myself to a goon to enter the gate... At anyrate the game is awesome... I'll post some more photos from my DS soon...

THANK YOU ATLUS for a translate - so I can enjoy the American FONT - My Hiragana, Katakana & Kanji need more skills... But if you know Y's you can get by with a Japanese copy - because everything shows a icon of the items in the inventory screen...

I hope that by placing both games into one DS cart it will not hinder the quality of music & gameplay...

The best of course would be to get the Ys Complete soundtracks that these were based off of. Considering that these are basically enhanced ports of the Ys Complete games that came out 10 years ago or so. Either way I'm happy, listening to the DS soundtrack, it's surprisingly competant, but I have to say, the Ys Eternal/Complete ones are better. They have the same arrangements, just higher quality samples.

Haha, me too. Art books are nice, but I'm a total sucker for soundtrack CDs.

If Atlus packs in the soundtrack CDs for Ys, then it's a guaranteed pre-order for me.
