Earlier Date Release of Persona 4

The purpose of this thread is to share your ideas about the possibility of moving the release date of Persona 4 sometimes in November. The ESRB already rated P4 with mature 17+ and this means that the game has already been completed, I mean the NA localization is done. Why do Atlus wants to prolong our cravings for such amazing RPG?

And note: Wouldn't it better if Atlus releases triple cool games this November? Eternal Poison and Luminus Arc 2 (sorry if wrong spelling) are scheduled for a November release right? Why not include P4 on the list. Or 1st week of December would be a bargain. Hehehe...

You are incorrect. ESRB submission does not have to be performed with a final, clean build of the game. The fact that the game had enough assets implemented to record the pertinent content does not mean that the game was ready to go on shelves.

I stand corrected Atlus. I forgot to read the part of the article that they only submit videotaped footage of the most graphic and extreme content found in the game to be rated... Sorry if I posted a thread like this. I realized. It needs an ample amount of time for Persona 4 to be clean.

More time to work on it could mean a higher quality localization when it does arrive.

A slight tangent, but I find it funny when the masses complain about a game being slightly delayed, yet they're the same people complaining about errors in a game (be it bugs, translation errors, or whatever). Note that I'm not directing this at anyone in this thread, but it seems to happen frequently from the gaming crowd.

Atlus, take as long as you need. I'd rather wait longer and get a perfect game than get a half-assed, rushed attempt.

I'm happy about the current Dec. 9[10th] release date, though.

That might be the case and :agree:. I just hope that the game won't be delayed further and if ever, I hope a one week adjustment would do.

Dude, it was a joke. If people fail to recognize the comment wasn't made by an Atlus employee, it is their own fault. Just relax. Beside people want to believe what they want to believe anyway. The SRT OG thread is a testament to this.

I think they deliberately made the artbook packaged outside of the game in case this happens again, P4 can still make its ship date.


Also, I hope it stays at this. I'll be able to finish it before Ar Tonelico II comes out.
