So far I've so little people talk about this game on the western side of the world.
Still, it looks amazing on a hand held console.

I have the PS2 version. It's a sweet little game. I'm sad Mastiff didn't pick up more Falcom games instead of doing junk like Major Eating League or whatever. Gurumin was a solid localization on par with Atlus.

I've heard from elsewhere that Falcom offers absolutely NO development support as far as localization is concerned. Someone's friend asked X-SEED about localizing some of Falcom's other PSP ports and that was their answer.

Usually when a game gets localized, the developer will help the localizer by giving them complete text dumps(rather than making the translator play through the game or have a programming team on the localizer's end hack the game) and code the new text/any localized graphics/bug fixes localizer finds specific to localized build.

Getting NONE of that from a developer? I don't know how Mastiff did it for the PSP version. Maybe they approached Falcom as they worked on the PSP version? Only Mastiff knows.

I dunno, I thought this was a case of Falcom licensing out YS for the remakes by another company (like they did with that Ys game on the PSP, or the Gagaharv trilogy of LoH games), as opposed to doing it themselves (like with Gurumin and Zwei)

I really liked Falcom games, especially YsF. The gameplay and OST are exceptional. That aside, I'm playing Sora no Kiseki Chinese translation atm. I can't believe the Sora no Kiseki consists of 3 games (or more), with the Second chapter being 2 psp UMDs long...

Back on topic, It would be nice to have Zwei over on psp, but since Zwei 2 is out, I think that's more worth translating.

Anyways, I've been hoping someone would bring the PSP version over. Come on Atlus, give Zwei!! a little bit o' love!

I recently imported the PC version of Zwei II.
I can only say...best Falcom game ever!
If only it was translated.
Since the in-game graphics have english words on them, I would think they designed it with the possibility of a localized version in the future.

Definitely looks like one of those games Atlus would pick up. I mean, look at My World, My way.

This is one of the many Falcom titles to catch my eye. I'd like to see it localized.

I just watched the trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEHjG7iuvYM
I hope it gets localized.

If there's one thing in this game I'm going to comment, it's the music. The rearranged tracks alone is more than enough for anybody to get a copy. People might want to check out Zwei!! 2008 OST (as opposed to the original Zwei!! ost).

Wow, I never threw my hat in on this one.

Definite +1 from me. This game would do very well, and I'd love to see it in English. It's super-fun, has one of Falcom's best soundtracks of all time, a unique experience and leveling system that encourages you to challenge dungeons many levels higher than yourself, and also features some of the most drop-dead gorgeous 2D art you'll ever see.
