Hi.
Recently, Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper (http://www.capcom.co.jp/fate_tiger_upper/), the followup to the original F/TC (http://www.capcom.co.jp/fate_tiger/) was released in Japan - along with a special 'Megamori Box' edition:

The game mechanics are pretty similar to those from last time around, which are those of a multi-character arena battler (as shown here (http://www.capcom.co.jp/fate_tiger_upper/movie.html)) but with a few tweaks here and there - mostly in terms of how allied characters can combine attacks and stuff.
The Megamori box comes with a few extras - a drama CD, a DVD with a few clips from the two TC games, a set of awesome tarot cards with the Fate characters on 'em, rules and a sheet for some kind of game I have no idea about, and a cool folder for carrying the tarot cards around!
Oh, and the actual game, too.
Now, I just wish that Atlus would pick this up for a Western release...
...but would anyone here be interested in trying it?

Ok.
The game has a few different modes - single-player story modes for each of the characters, single-player arena matches with various rules and options, as well as multi-player battles over wi-fi.
The single-player stories start off by letting you play as one of a limited number of characters, and as you complete each story (they tend to have 7 battles to fight each) you can both unlock additional characters, alternate costumes, and earn TM (as in Type-Moon) credits. Said credits can be spent in the extras section, where they can be spent to unlock pictures, movie clips, music tracks and so forth.
The combat itself is not too difficult to get the hang of - you control a chibi-fied version of the character and move around the 3D arena, and can jump, dash, defend, set (and switch) targets, and launch various attacks. The big attacks tend to echo the special feats the characters have in F/SN, and need to be unlocked both by building up enough energy to unleash them, and by holding on to the Tiger Balls which appear in each arena. They also increase the amount of energy you can store for an attack, and the kind of strikes some characters can launch with the increased maxing out are more elaborate than the normal ones.
So, for example, Archer can build up to the lower limit and fire Caladbolg II (a powerful sword-arrow) - or he can build up to the upper limit, and unleash Unlimited Blade Works (a Reality Marble that rains a hail of swords on every opponent in the arena).
The arenas themselves match certain locations in Fuyuki-shi, the city where Fate/Stay Night is set - so you can fight in the grounds of the Emiya residence, inside the Einzbern mansion, at the Kotomine church, and so forth.
Oh, and a swimming pool.
Also, it has all of the voice actors which play the relevant characters from the Fate anime, the F/SN Réalta Nua PS2 adaptation of the visual novel, and the Fate/Zero Drama CD - and from further afield, in one or two cases...
Does that help?

Oh, based off an Anime? The only good anime fighters IMO are the Bleach: Heat the Soul series and the Jump series. So do not want.

Well, technically it, the anime, the manga, the Fate/Hollow Ataraxia visual novel, the Fate/Zero light novel series and the Fate/Unlimited Codes arcade/PS2 game are all derived from the Fate/Stay Night (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fate/stay_night) visual novel (which can be found in eroge form on the PC, and non-eroge form on the PS2).

Just finished a run-though of the various single-player stories - and I reckon that part of the draw is the serious amount of fun you can find in them!
Yes, some of them are pretty silly - it is supposed to be a more comedic take on the setting, after all - but some of them are just plain clever, and funny, too.

^ Sei is notorious for saying Day 1 to just about everything. Which is why I was being sarcastic and implying that it was shocking when it wasn't. Still lost?

Hmm. I played the first version, and to be honest, I'm not impressed. The game is incredibly shallow and mostly button mash. There are close to no difference between characters. Maybe it's just my taste, but seriously, that game is probably the worst thing I've ever played from Capcom (okay, maybe second to Starforce). But, I guess simply having F/SN characters in is enough for me, if I can actually understand what's going on in the story.

Bleach DS games kick the #### out of HTS, IMO. :)

It looks more fun than Fate/Unlimited Codes anyway.

I beg to differ. The game has absolutely no mind game/metagame to work on, and guarding is as good as useless, so all you do there is just spam area attack and normal attack. tbh it's the most boring stuff I've ever played that's about F/SN. Even F/F had some cool thing to offer before Crusis came in. Colosseum is more about fandisk and story than actually playing.
Also, Bleach, good fighting game? lolno. And F/SN in not originally anime for the love of god. Unlimited codes actually received some positive views from shoryuken, unlike Bleach. And both in depth and style, Naruto Ultimate Ninja did a much better job than Bleach.
