Remember, Atlus fans: the Grand Prize will not necessarily go to the most elaborate costume, or the most accurate... It's about which costume we like the most, so it could be any aspect of your entry that could win you our favor and get you over the top!

XD The limit isn't three pictures, but any more then I think the photos would have been too small. I didn't include one of me actually doing his pose cause I really liked how angry I looked in the middle pic. ^^;

I'm just a nerdy (and poor) college student who likes to do cosplay shoots for fun. Nothing is professional, it's just friends having a good time together finding different locations and spending hours taking pictures hehe. They look professional cause the photographers I work with are simply amazing! So kudos to them!

And as for the "You're #1" option...I think it's confusing because some people take it seriously rather than sarcastically. It's hard to tell the tone when it's all letters on a website. :/

I recognize the cosplayer (lillyxandra); she's fairly well-known. The main problem here is that I also recognize the picture, and the photographer's watermark was cropped off.

No, what was hard was getting the paint out of the tub. No one thought to bring some alchohol or baby oil. Really messy.

Also, I wonder if a lot of people are confused by the "You're #1!" I've never heard it as an insult myself. I guess it being placed last on the list of options is an indicator of the feeling behind it, but some people might not get that. I think that should be different next time?

Ah this contest caught my eye with the beautiful Princess Velvet on Kotaku.com
My girlfriend also cosplayed Velvet and her and I played through the game she made a beautiful Velvet and has the perfect body and pulled it off really well.
I remember her mentioning this cosplayer, the one that got the great response for her velvet. The only beef I have, is from what I hear from my gf and a lot of other cosplayers is that she isnt even interested in video games and knows nothing about the characters she is portraying for the most part, which is a huge element to do with the whole cosplay spirit. So Boooo shame on you. None the less, a nice job on the costume, but in a lot of people's eyes she wont be 100% cosplayer. Only a Barbie doll body placed in a costume. Oh, btw, these arent the only costumes she does, not to mention full nudes. Not such a respected "cosplayer" now, are we?

The competition was for best "costume" not best "cosplayer" thank god. So, she's done nothing wrong and deserves every accolade she's gotten. Plus, if your information is indeed accurate, I like and respect her even more now.

I said it was a good costume.
And if it is for best costume, then fantastic, I was speaking outside of the contest in the cosplay community that she does in fact participate in.
Despite what I say there will be tons of supporters and thats cool, everyone has the right to like whatever and have their own opinion.

I was #3. My costume isn't fancy, but I try not to get to stylized in trying to capture a character I like very much. I thought I had the right hips for Velvet, too. :) I guess I still have work to do, and I'll get right on it.

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'm gonna ask this as the deadline draws dangerously close.

I'm lead to understand Atlus had a hand in disgaea, as I'm unsure of the exact extent of this I was wondering is Disgaea charicters are by extention aplicable costume choises.

I have a couple of ideas but this will either narrow my choises or give me more options from my existing cosplay gear.
