I must be weird or something, sometimes for some characters you can just tell that by what they look like, what colors are there clothes, and their eye shape.

Like blue is calm, or a dark blue could mean a "colder character" ^_^

For the first game: Vanessa, Claire, Mavi. Also Andre, Nikolai, and Mel since they always gave me a good laugh.

For this, going just from the art and voice clips: Roland, Rina, Ace, Sophia, Althena, and Luna.

Of couse my choices may change once I play it. I didn't like Vanessa's design but her combat prowess, voice, and personality easily overshadowed that.

Still not sure on the charcters from 2 but Vivi was the closest to a favorite from the first. I did wonder why God and Priel reminded me so much of Excel and Ilpalazzo from Excel saga though. Kept looking for a Hyatt charcter in it.

I was watching the characters and stuff since the Japanese site first opened, so... I've had a long time to form opinions just from what the characters looked like. From just that, I'd thought I'd like Rasche and Fatima the most.

As it turned out, my favorite character somehow ended up being Sadie hands down, when I hadn't even liked her at all from just seeing her. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.

I'd have to go with Keith and Mavi from the first game. Fatima and Rina for the LA2, but Roland isn't too bad and would fit in third for me (you can't forget the main characters, lol).

From the first game: Kai, Leon, and Saki. In that order.

From the second: Pip, Ace, Fatima, and Kaph. Again in that order.

I generally prefer serene, calm, and/or dark characters. Such as Kai, Saki, and Fatima. After that I choose characters who I find funny, such as Leon, Pip, Ace and Kaph.

well i just got my preorder game yesterday, so i havent gotten very far ^^

but i guess ive always been the type to like the powerhouse characters who wield big swords or spears

PERSONALLY...... im not a huge fan of the changes in gameplay

CONS:very_sad:
1) u no longer regain all ur health when u lv up (whats up with that?)
2) u can only equip a character with max 2 items
2) there are a lot less healing options
3) there are a lot less chances to practice before a battle and lv up
4) saving ur progress is not as convienent
5) when battling, enemy reinforcements appear (very annoying:mad:)
6) the battlefield set up is different
7) less vocals
8) much to much dialogue
9) to many consecutive battling
10) game plot is similar to first game, nothing much new besides the characters
11) only 6 playable characters during battle
12) no improvement on intermissions
13) the engagement idea is....... odd........

i think luminous arc 2 did better with the girls because of the engagement feature, but what about all the guy fans??

overall, it really took away from the cool features of the original luminous arc, i think the worst part was not being able to regain max health when lv up!

3) more complicated story plot
4) more promotional features
5) more of a challenge than original luminous arc
6) requires more tactics

Maybe it can be a Luminous Arc like game that features system that only magical talking cats with fish bones as a wand can do.Like the furball summoning system where if you're opponent has fur,you can lick it for a couple of turns and you can cough up a furball in the menu where you clone/summon it to create a personal army of monsters....yeah that's pretty far-fetched but I like it :).story wise maybe it can a post-LA2 game with his independent story where he travels the world to "find himself" and through series of events somehow saves the world by saving Fatima or something and in the process falls in love with another magical talking cat :D...(I haven't finished LA2 yet btw so...yeah...:)) wow that was kinda long.....

thinking weird ideas for games is pretty fun! :D

As far as gameplay goes, it'd be kind of hard to get a sidescroller done right since he floats and all, but it could work. Maybe he could ride on the golems through levels, or something. Or it could be a traditional Luminous Arc style game, with your characters being Josie, some golems, and maybe Fatima too.

It's hard for me to pinpoint my favorite character since the charm is in how they interact with their companions, but I guess I would have to pick Steiner. I like his overall style and the way he handles his battles through careful planning and getting the drop on enemies through technology. Though I considered him a douchebag for betraying the party, it makes him a deeper character.

And I would totally buy a Josie spinoff. :P

What kind of person is this Ayano? I haven't started yet nor found any information on her on any official website. No spoilers obviously, just brief description of her personality. From the way people describe her in battle, she is a physical powerhouse. I like her already.

Also Dia and Luna. I would have liked Fatima more, but I found her kind of annoying at various times in the game, though she's one of the more awesome looking characters. Althea is also pretty.

Ayano is definitely my favorite by far. She is just such a cool character in the story (not to mention the awesome character design jaja), and is a very powerful fighter. Then I like Sadie, Josie, Fatima and Althea in no particular order. Then I like Rina, Pip, and the rest of the witches in no particular order.

Then I like everyone else except for Rasche, and Steiner. I also think that Gaston's hair is weird, but he is cool because he says, "I'm an iron wall!"
