Problem with drawing the map in EOII

Well I've been avoiding the board incase of spoilers so sorry if this is already posted somewhere else, but I found a problem with drawing the map.

Whenever you draw on the map the pencil icon actually draws slightly to the right of where you are touching. I noticed this because I was having trouble with some the lines not appearing when I drew. It seems the same problem is in the original Etrian Odyssey, but the first game is more lenient with the way you draw and it doesn't matter if the touch is as inaccurate.

Before someone says this is my DS, I have 3 DSes and I tested it on all of them. Wondering if anyone else noticed this. It seems to be fine with everything else, like the icons. Please tell me I am not crazy and that someone else noticed this? It is really pissing me off.

Try calibrating the touch pad. That's probably the problem.

EDIT: Oh wait, you tested it on 3 DSs. I dunno then, man.

you are not crazy. I also (used to) have tons of problems drawing the maps. I got used to it, but it's just not as good as EO1, which is surprising considering it should be the same code and all. A few people on GameFAQs have also talked about this problem.

And don't forget the eraser bug.

I noticed that the Japanese one seemed to have this problem, where it was hard to draw lines, but my US copy draws just fine, as does my brothers. Are you playing the Japanese version by any chance?

Nah, it is the US version. I have gotten used to it now though.

I just noticed this a while back, but I thought I was the one that messed it up..
My family went water rafting and my dad fell into the river when we hit a boulder peaking out at the bottom of a low fall. I jumped in to pull him to shore, but I had my DS in my pocket and screwed up the system, but EO survived. Must be immune to Flood.

Months later, my dad replaced the DS, so I when I played EO again I noticed the markings by the stylus was veering to the right on the right side of the screen. Figured it was because it got wet inside, but glad to know everyone else is having the same problem ....likewise.

I dunno, I'm not having this problem at all with my US cart. I even tried pressing the stylus DIRECTLY down into the touch screen, and it's spot on. It must be some sort of bug with the calibration then?

Not sure if anyone cares now but interestingly I got my DSi today and its perfect on that. Absolutely spot on.
