Black Tape for a Blue Girl - Knock Three Times
i saw them a few years ago in Chicago!
i've had a crush on Lisa, the flutist, just about forever! oh, there was a downstairs dance party after that concert...but i was too damned bashful to introduce myself to her. however, i recall our eyes connected somewhat well.
Stellarly.
i'm currently listening to glasgow megasnake, by MOGWAI.
probably the greatest song to ever come out of Scotland, or anywhere even remotely near there for that matter.
...aside from Suede's asphalt world, breakdown and sleeping pills. And perhaps a couple odd numbers by Blur.

thank you.. sometimes i feel like i am.
to be very artistic
i used to think that's what it was supposed to mean to be human.
but then i read this:
"By striving with every facet of the imagination to conceive of chaos, one manages only to explore a little more carefully the terrain of order. To develop one's sensual characteristics, to be an artist, no matter how subtly, leaves one at the mercy of the physical world and its increasingly destructive onslaught. It takes an exceedingly insensitive person today to continue to be an artist. "

i'll tell you, it has a lot to do with how deeply you damn god
and how furiously your god damns you in return.
Actually, i don't know what the hell i've just typed.
Seriously-- in my interpretation of that quote, most anyone can make a decent artist, in spurts; but to continue on at length as one requires an insanely thick shell... i suppose ideally in the sense where one's art never feels the urge to roam beyond the realm of one's mind. Likewise towards the applause for the supposed possession of its jilting caress in others.
i've never met one of those 'exceedingly insensitive people' that Bowles wrote of, in the flesh; i sometimes feel they may be make-believe. The people of my past all seem so ridiculously ticklish.
i believe we are all capable of making a decent self. An obscure,
individual identity immeasurable. Being 'An Artist' is just a lame, passé tag.

Well, there is the amsterdam barfly who has deprived herself of wings...
and then there is the more local primfly who finds them replaced by thorns.
As for ideal liberation... i'd like, with one unintelligent, wordless, univocal, oblique and irrevocable gesture, to dismiss every single muscle in this body from the office of functions they perform... if only to extricate myself from accidental, neutral participation in the obscene sordidness of others. However, as it goes i find myself currently employed in the killing field of liberating the trash from the streets.
Now, did you ever stand before a blazing strobe-light, and ask it for directions? It's so comforting to feel like we are better than everyone else, but what is hell is realizing that we have to feel that way to survive.

Behave as you wish.. although, i'll admit i would've liked to read that lengthy finality you composed. You could send it via a pm someday perhaps?
If i had a problem with someone, that's the first thing i would do. Send them a private message. Not many people seem to be able to fathom what it's like to be someone else... like, someone with Proteus syndrome, for instance. Could you imagine how that person might relate to another online? i worked with a man with the unfortunate condition and he was so violent towards me, emotionally as well as physically, that i ended up becoming a sort of mirror to him. Which was precisely what he wanted.
That will never happen again.

fat old sun.
when the fat old sun in the sky is falling
summer evenin' birds are calling
summer's thunder time of year
the sound of music in my ears
distant bells, new mown grass
smells so sweet
by the river holding hands
roll me up and lay me down
and if you sit don't make a sound
pick your feet up off the ground
and if you hear as the warm night falls
the silver sound from a time so strange
sing to me, sing to me
when that fat old sun in the sky is falling
summer evenin' birds are calling
children's laughter in my ears
the last sunlight disappears
and if you sit don't make a sound
pick your feet up off the ground
and if you hear as the warm night falls
the silver sound from a time so strange
sing to me, sing to me. . .

Well, if you can't find 'em, download 'em and burn 'em. That's what I'd do (and no, they have no good music here. Only the mainstreams). Heaven Sent is good, but I preferred That Girl over it.
You should definitely try her latest album (well, not SO latest, but it's new enough), Wicked Lil' Grrls. She's grown rather jazzy and her songs a tad bit sultry, which I really really like.

INSTRUMENTALS! My friend found all my old #### on his mom's computer when he came back up here a week ago. I was devestated when I accidently reformatted my hard drive and lost all my music, but mainly because of the 400 or so instrumentals I had, now I have em back. :)
Decided to finally just slap my Last.FM into my signature. Enough people are using gamercards and the like now that it's not too big, relatively. I sometimes leave it off or frequently forget to turn it back on after restarting the computer, so my "stats" are skewed heavily towards whatever I let loop when I'm bored, haha.

Do send me a copy once you're done with it! =3
Allie, wanna be mah beta tester? gimme an email address that can handle . I also know you have done music in the past, so I can ask you some stuff that uncivilized keyboard chewing meta-musicians like me don't know about? (like this thing called, "tempo?") <jk>
For someone as musically gifted as you are, I didn't know you would be so clueless about that. <jk as well. :P>
I'm pretty sure my Hotmail account can handle its size. It's...<*reveals in PM*>

Le Vieil Amant by Emilie Simon.
I don't know why. I find her French very innocent, but sexy. It just makes me tingle.

The Bar('Luna Light') music from Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land.
Great chill music.
(The album cover is creepy, or else I'd post it.)

Courtship Dating by Crystal Castles.
An odd genre, for me, but it keeps my head in the air and succumbs me to its beat. There were beautiful screams in there...

Lately I've hit a block in my music search. Any help? I'm open to suggestions.
A few bands I enjoy:
The Fall of Troy (doppelganger), Dance Gavin Dance, The Dear Hunter, Circa Survive, The Mars Volta (Deloused).
Thanks in advance.

Hilarious because that's exactly what I've been listening too. I'm going to see the fall of troy later today!!! I'm so excited to get phantom on the horizon after all this time of waiting for it
and Dance Gavin Dance is a semi-local band. They used to play here all the time before they made it big.
Lately I've been listening to a skylit drive too (who actually is from my town lol)

A skylit drive is alright I guess. And I went to The fall of troy show last week. But I went more for The number 12 looks like you. Their stage presence changed my life that night.
Look into a band called "Youinseries." It takes some getting used to, but one day it will click, and you'll probably enjoy it.

How ironic that I'm reviving this thread from listening to Super Eurobeat 193 - Revival Hits.
Great album so far, don't dig the Never Ending Story or the Video Killed the Radio Star revivals, but David Dima doing Save a Prayer is just flat out incredible on so many levels.
