Which English voice-over do you like in P3?

The English voice-actor of Aigis seems to have done the same voice-work for Cordelia in Operation Darkness and Gwendolyn in Odin Sphere. Her/his voice sounds super special awesome. I love the voice! I do not know her/his name, but I would congratulate the voice-actor for a job well done (I don't bother reading credits, I'm very sorry). :lol:

Anyway, which English voice-over do you like? It's okay to say none, because there will always be debate about Japanese versus English voice-works.

Its almost as if he suddenly grew blonde hair and started running around attempting to grope the female characters.

We have same favourites. I didn't mention Mitsuru, but she is my closest second placer. I think the reason why I like the voices of Aigis and Mitsuru is that their voices are much more distinctive and easy to remember than the others (just my opinion). :D

My top guy would be Shinji. I just looooove all his lines. The actor had the right tone. I always laughed my ass off each time I heard him say 'Adios, bastard.' :lol:

I liked Yukari. There were certain tones and pauses the VA uses that really made a scene work and feel real.

And as funny as this is, the Hero. Yeah. He doesn't get many lines, but that 'persona' word he says when he awakens to his persona in the beginning sounded really sexy. :lol: (Yes, I'm goofy like that) I wish he had more lines.

Hmmm... Nyx. It could have been improved to make it more scarier and more inhuman. In the game, I was not scared enough by the voice of Nyx. LOL. :lol:

I don't know the voice actors, but for the Ken character, I also don't like the voice. I probably just hate the personality of the character when he tried to take revenge (you know what I mean). :lol:

All of the voices were good, I don't know why so many people hate them. Michelle Ruff did a perfect job as Yukari as well as Tara Platt as Mitsuru. Vic Mignona did a fantastic job as Junpei.

Especially how Aigis eventually sounded more Human toward the end of the game. When a person's voice reflects their development that's when i truley love a game.

I have to agree with you.

Junpei VA does sound like those annoying character in most RPGs that just pisses you off, especially with the voice. But this VA turns out to be quite a good one. He's able to shift from being a total monkey to that of a serious one (esp. post-Chidori) and he doesn't sound too annoying.

We can see that he succeeded in being able to overcome that difficulty and come out successful in his VA. Kudos to Junpei's voice actor. =)

I loved all of P3's voices except for Fuuka's, Ikutsuki's, Pharos's and Elizabeth's (Although Pharos's and Elizabeth's voice fit, they creeped me out a bit.). I loved Minato's "Per...so...na" during his awakening. Yukari had solid voice-acting througout. Junpei rocks, period (Great job Vic!). Takaya's was oustanding out of everyone else!


Oh, and an interesting fact:

Yuri voiced both Minato and Pharos/Ryoji.

Johnny voiced both Souji and Adachi.

I think its because Yukari is, for lack of a better term, the bitch of the game. Mitsuru was prim and proper, but an understanding leader. Fuuka was shy. Aegis was... well, an android, I don't even know if she really counts as female but I guess so if the thought comforts you.

I mean, even in The Answer, Yukari comes off as rather cold and whiney. Not even a month passes after some serious events and she just doens't care to acknowledge the importance of an occassion. Akihiko can be accused of the same, but men are generally expected to distance themselves from emotionally heavy things.

One could say Chie was the same as Yukari, but not really. She just didn't get along with Youske, otherwise she was liked by everyone. Yukari didn't get along with a lot of people.

As for my favorite voice of the game - I have to say Tara Platt as Mitsuru. I could just listen to that voice all day.

Yukari chic is probably the most talented. Really, I think Yukari is very underrated because all of the characters in this game were pretty cliche. Yukari was the best, therefore people started disliking her just to be different.

Nobody comes close to getting the timing and actual-sounding dialogue like her. She is pretty famous, too... I forgot what her name is, but she's in a lot of games/anime.

Because the overall quality in P4 is just higher than in P3. The only voice which could've been better in P4 is Naoto's in my opinion. In P3 you have Mitsuru's (her voice fits, but the voice actor doesn't seem to care too much about her job), Ken's (I really don't like that voice, too easy to hear that the voice belongs to a grown woman) and the worst: Fuuka's. Oh, and also Pharos. *shudderrrr*

Some people might not like Rise's "squeaky" voice or whatever, but most people seem to agree on me that every voice fits the characters and there's no denying the fact that the voice actors really knows their job.

Don't get me wrong though, I love Persona 3 almost as much as Persona 4. It's like, right below Persona 4 in my "ultimate favorite video games of all time" list. If there is anything about Persona 3 that I like better than Persona 4 though, it was how the atmosphere felt a lot darker. Shooting yourself in the head? The Dark Hour and turning into coffins while in it? Tartarus? Nuts! The atmosphere fit the Personas and Shadows more too.

I find it odd that everyone hates fuukas voice. Honestly it didnt bother me it was just when she kept crying at me when someone was knocked unconscious or when she said "Oh no I sense death". But it wasnt her voice that was annoying it was just because it was repetitive and what she said was annoying too. Fuukas voice for me fit perfectly so i was happy with her voice along with everyone else. I guess there was a few characters i didnt enjoy so maybe there voice pissed me off but it doesnt mean i dont like it. I hated ken and Ikutski. And Yukari sorry but in the pamphlet thing that comes with the game it says that everyone enjoy yukaris positive outlook but it seemed like she bitched about everything i dunno maybe its just me.

I think 90% of the time is quite a lot.

I like Yukari's voice actress, as I've noticed her work in other games, but Yukari the character is a 100% full time bitch. I mean, its realistic that she's so catty at Mitsuru early on, but I think its just as much because she's jealous of the respect Mitsuru gets so effortlessly as it is other reasons.
