While PoP doesn't do much for me, those graphics look amazing. Perfect example of what we were talking about in another thread in regards to cell shading. Also makes me wish someone would use a similar technique for Amano's designs in 3D.

Well, it's not like PoP franchise is a stranger to having major changes in its look, although the gap in time and technology between the original Apple II-era PoP and the PS2 PoP franchise is much greater than the gap between the PS2 one and the upcoming one. At first, I hated the look of the PS2 PoP. I've gotten used to it now though. :)

Holy crap. All this time, I thought that was just concept art. The latest issue of Game Informer has an article about this game, and the entire time I was thinking "I wanna see in-game graphics, not just concept art!".

I hate the Lara Croft look anyway, so this is a welcome change.

By the way, that's an interesting outfit she's wearing. Look at the 4th pic, and it's like she's wearing a torn wedding dress with a pair of hip-hugging jeans. :roll:

Why did they have to make it CG, they could have used the in-game engine and I would have been more impressed. Still, this game is definately on my most wanted list this year. I still need to beat the last two PoP games...

I think you missed the point... when a game has such beautiful in game graphics, why bother spending more money to make a CG trailer? CG is become less neccesary this generation, I'm getting sick of publishers using CG to market games, show people what the actual game looks like!

I prefer CG for in game scenes, It usually looks better (high level cg, anyway) and you can skip it. In engine usually looks not so great, although the difference is getting smaller.

This is terrible CG at any rate, however.

You can't die, AT ALL. I understand, and actually like the instantaneous checkpoint system with the lady during the platforming segments. But if you lose all your health in battle the bitch just saves your ass.
