Talk about what your greatest moment in gaming.
Numerous things for me. Beating FFXII was one. I had never wracked up the nerve nor the interest in beating a FF before due to dying numerous times on the final bosses (I've only beaten 1, 2, 4, and Tactics). I knew for sure I wasn't going to be able to beat Vayne, but my first time through, I fell the bastard.

I beat the original Ninja Gaiden (NES) without dying. First time was last year, and I did it again a few months ago.

Beating Lucifer in SMT III after a #### load of hard work to fuse the best demons.

Completing Fatal Frame by myself... ####ing so scary.

Etrian Odyssey: Killing the 3 wyrms/dragons. Need to finally kill Primevil but haven't gotten around to it.

I also beat Ninja Gaiden which that alone I think is an accomplishment. I seriously don't believe you beat it without dying.. that is insane. Especially that castle level where if you get hit once and get knocked back the monsters will respawn instantly. It was ridiculous.

The first time I beat Chaos (final boss of Unlimited SaGa).

Beating SaGa Frontier with all the characters and gaining access to the second division area (probably a little more surprised than proud about this one).

When I finally managed to beat the final boss in Vagrant Story.

Getting the Sword of Kings off of a Starman DX for Poo in 4 tries, the Magic Frypan for Paula in 6 tries, and the Gutsy Bat off of a Magicant Kraken for Ness in ONE try, all in the same play through of Earthbound. Epic.

Also that, and I did it with only taking damage to Hito once.

I did it in less than 7-10 minutes or so when I was showing it to my friend. Everyone kept getting crits off of him like mad and he just went down super fast.

Heh, I liked Ninja Gaiden. I thought it was cool that I was able to beat just about all of the missions in Mission Mode on Ninja Gaiden Black.

But the game I'm most proud of... Is getting all of the achievements on Dead Rising. That's my favorite X-Box 360 game.

Beating one of the Ecco games on the genesis. I forget which one, but I had such a hard time during some of the last levels.

When I was a kid, I used to be able to beat some of the levels in the R-Type games with my eyes closed from memorization.

Man, I had no life.

Off the top of my head:

Being amazing at Quake 1 and competing against some of the top competition during its first year out.

Me and my friends having crazy games in NFL Blitz on the N64 with games coming down to the last play, every time.

Winning a long campaign game in Medieval Total War 2, without using a single cheat code.

Kicking ass and taking names in Ultima Online back in the days.

Killing Thresh 4 times in an FFA game of Quake 2 after he talked #### to me. He only killed me twice. He was also pinging 30 and I was pinging 250.

Having an EPIC battle in a game of Age of Empires #1 against my friend. The game went on for over four hours. At about the two hour mark I had started to save up my gold for a final push later. For a good three hours all we did was send troops that only cost resources that replenished.
Finally my troops made a dent in the bridge fighting we were doing and I sent in my troops that had a resource gold cost. This stroke of genius is what won me the game. I had two friends over at the time that kept going to each of our computers to see what was going on. Luckily neither of them spilled the beans on me still having gold.

I was able to finish the original Contra without dying. Defeating the Egg in SaGa Frontier 2. Finishing the first and third Castlevania game in one life (regardless of route in the third).

I actually have a ton, but very few are from later/current-gen systems. Most are NES and SNES related.

This was way back.

My brother was playing a Star Wars game on the SNES, I forget which one. But it was involving a stage with the Death Star, he had trouble getting past it, I kept saying "let me give it a try", finally 20 tires latr he let me have a go.

And I went through the stage on one try.

Ah I loved gloating about that to him.

This was years back, before there was a ps2.

Other moments were preforming Ultimate Combos on Killer Instinct anytime I chose Fulgore.

Getting Lunar2 for $20 w/th bundle of extras.

And Spoilers:

Finding out that a Great Dragon crystal in Lunar SSS was actually just a big terd.

Beating Lucifer in SMT III after a #### load of hard work to fuse the best demons.
I just worked with the ones I was using at the time lol. I was gearing up to fuse a lot of demons but figured I'd give a shot and see how well I could do without that. I honestly thought people's criticisms of Lucifer being an "extremely challenging" boss were unfounded, I may have gotten lucky but I wasted him on my first try without much difficulty... The hardest boss for me in the game was the Matador and mostly just because he was a rude wake-up call. Also, having Dante in the party was awesome and from the moment I fused my first Hell Biker he never left my party. I always called him Ghost Rider :<

I also beat Ninja Gaiden which that alone I think is an accomplishment. I seriously don't believe you beat it without dying.. that is insane. Especially that castle level where if you get hit once and get knocked back the monsters will respawn instantly. It was ridiculous.
I've never beaten it without dying, but I can see how someone could without too much trouble. The harder parts of the stages are memorization based and by the time I finally managed to beat the last stage, myself, I had it to where I could run through it pretty reliably. I'm pretty sure if I dedicated enough time I could do it, but I'm not a big enough Ninja Gaiden fan to consider doing that. Too much time, too little reward.

I was able to finish the original Contra without dying. Defeating the Egg in SaGa Frontier 2. Finishing the first and third Castlevania game in one life (regardless of route in the third).

I think the first Contra is stupid easy, but that might be because I've been playing it as long as I can possibly remember. I've done that like a hoijillion times. However, I will concede that beating CV and CV3 on one life is pretty impressive. I'd like to have said I've done it, but I only picked up Castlevania a little under two years ago and haven't played either enough to get that good, so you get a metaphoric tip of the hat from me.

Good lord I really wish I didn't get into Castlevania so late. My first Castlevania was the one for the N64 and it tarnished my view on the series, all of my friends had awful taste in gaming so I didn't have anyone to show me the light (or darkness, given Castlevania's morbid nature, bad pun, I know, haha). Once I was finally convinced to play SotN by a friend I was instantly drawn in, however. Ironic that's one of my least favorites, now.

As for my own accomplishments? I have quite a few, but my most prided was being able to clear Metal Slug 3 without dying more than once. Of course, having not played it for a couple years, once it finally hit XBLA I only managed to get past the 3rd stage without dying and have no proof of my skill and have since lost the patience to practice enough to get back in swing. I only tried a couple of times and the game got me so high-strung I had to put it down. I rarely take games so seriously, but having lost my panache with one of my favorite games just made me too angry to "enjoy" playing it... So I stopped playing it.

I've had a few, mostly the usual "beat this game" or "beat this mode", but my favorite one was from Resident Evil Outbreak.

I'm not good at the game, never claimed to be, but I had a lot of fun beating the final level on Very Hard with someone online. Right when the game started, two of our teammates disconnected, leaving the two of us to beat it.

Aside from that, I'm still trying to get a record for Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts...but it's not going so well.

I try to make each and every moment of gaming as epic as possible, utilizing whatever's at my disposal, or purposefully handicapping myself in certain ways to give the enemies an extra edge. Glory must be found 'round every corner!

But here's one... Tales of Symphonia's last boss on Mania Difficulty. Admittedly, I was vastly underleveled, but that only made the encounter more memorable.

Upon defeating his first form, I had depleted all my life bottles, and most of my healing items. So I had to do the second form very carefully, as there would be no way to heal once Raine fell. The battle ensued for awhile, being liberal about my assaults to avoid needless damage, while at the same time making sure my computer-controlled allies not get themselves killed in foolish strikes (which they are prone to). I kept them alive as long as I could but by the end of the battle, only Lloyd (me) was left. Without any means of healing, and mortally wounded. Still, my efforts paid off... though the battle was costly, I managed to scrape out a victory, and man did cutting it so close feel good.

Sure, it might not sound like a great moment. After all, I almost lost. But nevertheless, that's the way I like 'em.

I know this sounds lame, but I had trouble trying to beat Persona 3's last boss. But I must say, this was my best and most luckiest (in a retarded sort of way) boss battle fight (not to mention that I fought the boss for like...6-7 times in a row).

My first try was pretty good. I had Metatron with me so everything was pretty much simple and my party members were all doing a good job.
BUT, the boss charmed my main char (and mind you, he was close to death at this point, and I was running out on healing items. And dying) and with Metatron on me, I healed him to full life. 0____0 Died right after that.

My last try: I made sure I had Seth and left healing to Yukari. Bashed him and all, but once again, HE CHARMED ALL OF US. And we're also at the point of death, again. However, luck was smiling upon me because on the next turn, he did Magarudyne (or was it -la? I can't remember), and the spell reflected back to him and hit him four times (I had Magic Mirror on me~ :p).

And he dies! Hurrah! While we're all still charmed! XDDD

I was really proud of that. ^_^;

Hmm, Lucifer was a bit of a problem too (mainly because of that skill when he placed both of his hands down and electrocuted us. It has the word 'king' or 'crown' on it~ 0.o) But it wasn't much of a problem because later on, I realised how wonderful War Cry was and abused it.

In the end, we all survived. Demi-fiend, Black Frost, Red Rider, and Ose.
XDDDD Ose~ at level 49. LOL.

Beating Beyond the Beyond. Damn that dungeon with all the hidden pitfalls near the end was annoying. My friend and I had mapped the entire dungeon on graph paper. It was probably one the dungeons that took me the longest time to get through.

Beating Mario 64. I suck at these kind of games, but I tried hard and I finaly beat it!

Having played way too many RPGs and not even being able to remember all of them.

^ Omg. I did that with Beyond the Beyond too. That game was so terrible and frustrating, yet I had to finish it. not only did that pitfall dungeon have the well, pits, it had oodles of one hit kill monsters (The wraiths with their dark hole attack).

Ah the days were the budget was limited and I had to finish everything I bought.

Probably not my proudest, but definitely my fondest gaming memory was when I beat Metal Gear REX in MGS1. I had watched my brother play through the entire game, and when he finally got to REX he just could not beat the damn thing. Both of my brothers tried to no avail. I just sat there laughing. They then handed the controller off to me, hoping that REX kicking my ass would shut me up. I beat it on my first try. I walked off with a smirk on my face. I was ten at the time.

I was playing Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath for the original Xbox. I was fighting the last boss Sekto and his two minions. I had just defeated Sekto using my double barreled crossbow that shot living creature ammo (awesome right?). Stranger had just dragged Sekto's unconcious body out of the tower and set him on the ground. Sekto then said with his last life "is the water free" Stranger answered him with a yes. Then it cut to a phrase that said "whoever tries to control the water will find that they themselves will be washed away by her mighty waters". I sat their thinking this is awesome and started screaming cause I beat my favorite game in the world!!!!

Note to you guys and girls you should try to play this game and I'm serious. Even though it's a Xbox game it's compatible with Xbox 360.
