Battles in Devil Summoner use a real-time action combat engine. Both Raidou and the enemies can move around the battlefield while attacking.
The best strategy is to use elemental attacks that exploit the enemy’s weakness, such as fire, ice, or the other elements in the game. If you strike an enemy’s weak point, not only will it take more damage, it will be briefly stunned, so use these sorts of attacks whenever possible. There are two ways to hit an enemy’s weak spot:
| Method 1: Use a demon’s skill
| Many demon skills and attacks have elemental affiliations.

| Every enemy is weak to a different type of attack. Make sure you have a demon for every situation.

| Method 2. Use special bullets
| Raidou blasts Anzu with electric-element bullets

| Enemies are susceptible to special bullets, but ammunition is limited. Don’t overdo it!

However, demons have strong points in addition to weak points. Some elemental attacks will be blocked; even worse, they might be reflected or absorbed.

| There are two other things you can do with a stunned enemy besides go for a critical hit.
