IA/UI WEB GRAPHIC DESIGNER
This IA/UI Web Graphic Designer conceptualizes and designs multiple components for a high traffic, community-based entertainment website. The designer provides solid design insight in areas of user information architecture, interface design, graphics optimization, navigation and site layout, usability design and overall website design practices.
This designer works with a variety of tools and processes to design rich graphical and site-specific content. The ideal candidate works well in a fast paced environment, accepts constructive criticism and effectively communicates creative ideas to a team. This designer should be a relentless self-learner who keeps abreast of ongoing developments and changes in the use of design tools and techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed strategies and adapts them to creative
Develop/integrate complete websites based on technical specifications and/or creative comps
Able to use HTML. XHTML. CSS, and Javascript. HTML Cording must be required
Able to use tools such as FTPAFireworksAIllustratorAPhotoshopADreamweaver
Turns ideas and concepts into visually rich and functional designs
Conceptualizes and designs user interfaces and graphical components for integration into site
Monitors project development schedules and prioritizes to meet deadlines
Continually reviews, manages, and implements changes to design practices
Effectively presents ideas in meetings with internal staff or 3rd parties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3+ years of website design experience within a professional environment.
Advanced ability to create usable products and clean documentation (wire frames, sitemaps, and flowcharts).
Previous work experience at an Interactive AD Agency
Proven understanding of the tools necessary to complete the design of various creative projects, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash (better to have some skill for Action Script)
Strong understanding of typography
Outstanding sense of design and composition
Ability to translate verbal or written concepts into visually stunning layouts
Well-developed creative and problem solving skills and an excellent understanding of marketing processes
Demonstrated ability to deliver clear and accurate project status reports
Proven leadership characteristics, including the ability to achieve results through others
Experience meeting project objectives, schedules, and internal process standards
Ability to work in a fast paced, detail oriented environment with experience solve creative problems quickly and efficiently
Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts w/emphasis on Graphic Design (or equivalent work experience)
Must present an online portfolio for consideration
ADDITIONAL POSITIVE CONSIDERATIONS
Previous work experience at an Interactive AD Agency
Understanding of the web and browser limitations
Extensive experience with Information Architecture and User- Centric Design
Passion for video games (online or console) and video game communities
Experience designing website interfaces and visual components for the gaming or entertainment industries

TRANSLATOR (Temporary Position)
ATLUS is currently seeking a Japanese-to-English translator on a temporary basis for the duration of an upcoming project. Previous translation experience preferred. Familiarity with games, particularly RPGs, required.

MARKETING INTERN
ATLUS is currently seeking an Intern to serve in various capacities within the areas of Marketing and PR. This position will provide the candidate with a ground-level view of product marketing, including positioning, promotion, advertising, and publicity, and will connect him/her with high-profile organizations within the gaming industry. (A confidentiality form will need to be signed.) The ideal candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, web-savvy, and a team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. He/she will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
Completing research projects, such as finding competitive game titles, researching other companies' marketing efforts, and seeking and comparing vendors' offerings
Tracking and following up with major game sites and online retailers to ensure timely posting of our marketing assets
Creating co-marketing submissions to Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft
Liaising with 3rd party sites to set up contests and promotions
This is an unpaid internship. Internship period is 3 months; minimum time per week is 20 hours, but more time can be discussed. There may be an opportunity to extend the internship into additional periods.
QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent verbal and written communication.
Desire to apply marketing education within a consumer product company.
Very strong web-based skills.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Professional demeanor and the ability to carry out business communications.
Passion for games, positive attitude, attention to detail.
18 years or older.
20 hours per week minimum, or more based on candidate's availability.
