Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the company. Performs full supervision of Operations staff.

Ability to: Plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with corporate policies/procedures; communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility; perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.

Development and support of technology infrastructure, hardware, software and office systems support and distribution, systems performance management and technology integration functions.


  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
  • Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
  • Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
  • Familiar with all hardware and software
  • Familiar with various operating systems
  • Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
  • Train staff about potential uses of existing technology
  • Train staff about new and potential use
  • Provide individual training and support on request
  • Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
  • Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
  • Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.

    Principal Activities

  • Troubleshoot all technology issues
  • Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
  • Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
  • Research current and potential resources and services
  • Install Servers/Network Devices and Operating Systems
  • Connect and set up hardware
  • Load all required software
  • Provide network accounts and passwords as required
  • Monitor security of all technology including Firewall/IPS/IDS
  • Input and maintain IP addresses
  • Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
  • Ensure installation of lock out programs
  • Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
  • Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
  • Perform other related duties as required during working hours


  • Computer hardware and software systems and programs - MS Active Directory/ MS Exchange 2010/ MS Lync in a Multi-Site Deployment, Amazon Cloud Service deployment, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP. Knowledge of WordPress is a plus.
  • Computer networks, network administration and network installation - Cisco ASA/Cisco Ironport/Palo Alto Networks/Sonic Wall/Cisco Switches and Routers, LAN/WAN/ Site to Site VPN, Meraki Wireless Access Points/Linux/HP -UX and some knowledge of SAP System. Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP Protocol is a must.
  • Computer troubleshooting - Desktop/Laptop/Mac
  • Computer viruses and security - Symantec Anti-Virus/Parity Bit 9
  • E-mail and internet programs - Microsoft Exchange/Google Apps, Office 365 migration from On premise Exchange 2010
  • Storage Area Networks (SAN) - NetApp Storage Systems, Snapshot, SnapMirror, EVO, Drobo, Promise Storage
  • Extensive knowledge of VMware 4/5/6
  • Installation and Maintenance of various printers.
  • Knowledge of MS office/Adobe Products like Photoshop, Ftp, Aspera Connect
  • Ability to use different TCP/IP tools like Wireshark or TCPdump, to analyze TCP/IP networking issues and related protocols

    Game Tester/Quality Assurance

    Atlus U.S.A., Inc. is looking for Game Testers to work on an upcoming title. Testers will be responsible for playing through the game and reporting bugs accurately and clearly. Since the majority of bugs may be text-related, individuals with a strong command of the English language are preferred. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and a team player with good communication skills.

  • Previous software testing experience preferred. Console or PC gaming experience required.
  • 18 years or older only.
  • Strong reading, writing, and spelling skills.

  • Hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday thru Friday + paid overtime.

    Translator (Temporary position, possibly leading to full time)

    ATLUS is currently seeking a Japanese-to-English translator to help localize an upcoming project.

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • Must have previously done translation work
    • Familiarity with games, particularly RPGs
    • Knowledge of Japanese culture
    • Deep level of Japanese fluency; able to understand nuanced meanings
    • Works well as part of a team

    Marketing and Public Relations Intern (Bilingual English /Japanese Preferred)

    Atlus U.S.A., Inc. is currently seeking an Intern for the Marketing and Public Relations department. This position will provide the candidate with a ground-level view of product marketing, including positioning, promotion, advertising, and publicity; and will connect him/her with high-profile organizations within the video games industry. (A non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement is required for the position.) The ideal candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, web-savvy, and a team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Candidates must also have their own means of transportation to Irvine. Candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Completing research projects, such as finding competitive game titles, researching other companies' marketing efforts, and seeking and comparing vendors' offerings
  • Tracking and following up with major game publications and online retailers to ensure timely posting of our marketing assets
  • Learning about and eventually drafting public relations materials, such as pitches, press releases and media correspondence
  • Creating co-marketing submissions to Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft
  • Liaising with 3rd party websites to set up contests and promotions
  • This is an unpaid internship. Internship period is 3 months with a minimum of 20 hours per week required. (Additional time may be negotiated.) There may be an opportunity to extend the internship into additional periods for the right candidate.
