PRODUCT MANAGER

The PRODUCT MANAGER is responsible for overall game performance of a significant MMO title including revenue, game content, and community growth. This PRODUCT MANAGER manages and coordinates the day to day activities of the game team supporting this MMO title. The PRODUCT MANAGER is also responsible for gathering the necessary resources from our engineering, quality assurance, marketing, and business development teams which will contribute to their game title's growth and success.

The PRODUCT MANAGER should posses a background that includes project management of multi-phased projects, daily management of hourly employees, and driving revenue based on marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of their gaming community and the ability to balance scope, time, cost, risk and quality of their title while also developing a high performance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead all aspects of operations supporting the global release of new online gaming titles.
  • Head up strategic planning for the worldwide operations of online titles.
  • Orchestrate and plan the scheduling, dependencies, inter-departmental coordinate required to launch games ranging from AAA MMOs to innovative browser-based games.
  • Set the day-to-day priorities among all the staff and groups responsible for the game to maximize revenue of the titles.
  • Balance the costs and benefits of various technological and event-driven initiatives to maintain profit.
  • Create roll-out plans for game testing in coordination with development team efforts.
  • Perform ongoing game product analysis by working closely with the Director of Online Games to ensure project requirements are clearly defined, understood, and delivered.
  • Prepare and maintain daily documentation to include game project plans, status reports, risk assessment plans, change requests, and resource requests
  • Study and analyze daily, weekly monthly sales and propose a strategic sales plan to improve.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the latest MMOG market trends and customer requirements in both the US and foreign markets.
  • Define requirements for administrative tools used to manage the game
  • Provide strategic direction to the game experience based upon community knowledge and expertise.
  • Work with your Community & CS Manager to understand community & CS needs and develop ways to effectively address them.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Produced and managed at least 5 MMO or PC based titles.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the game industry, with increasing levels of responsibilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Game Team, Customer Service Representatives, and/or Community Manager.
  • Expert knowledge of project management principles, methods & techniques including:
          *Scope management
          *Risk/issue management
          *Change management
          *Cost management
          *Project planning
          *Financial planning (budgeting, forecasting, etc)
  • Passion for Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs).
  • Background in F2P marketing & community management with an understanding of the player experience.
  • Proven leadership characteristics, including the ability to motivate your game team and other departments to participate in the success of your title.
  • Highly developed communication, presentation, facilitation & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • The ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team
  • Having Bilingual Language Skill is better.

    Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in related field

    GAME TESTER/ QUALITY ASSURANCE

    Atlus U.S.A., Inc. is looking for Game Testers to work on an upcoming console title. Testers will be responsible for playing through the game and reporting bugs accurately and clearly. Since the majority of the bugs will be text-related, individuals with a strong command of the English language are preferred. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and a team player with good communication skills.

    Requirements

  • LOCAL APPLICANTS ONLY (We are located in the Irvine, CA. Applicants outside of the Orange County area will not be considered.)
  • Previous software testing experience preferred, console gaming experience required.
  • 18 years or older only.
  • Strong reading, writing, and spelling skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Passion for games, positive attitude, attention to detail.
  • Hours are 9:00-5:30 M-F plus paid overtime.
  • This is a temporary position lasting the duration of the project (approximately 4-8 weeks).
