Are you a fan of Tri-Ace like myself or Sanctine? Naturally you answered "no" since you're at Atlus, so feel free to chime in with the hate at any time.

| I used to like tri-Ace, and I have no idea why. Looking back on their games that I've played, they really suck. |

I like tri-Ace, but I can't stand how their games have a sudden jump in difficulty at times. I'm very interested in this title and it looks like a lot of people are putting their best efforts into it. _________________ Why so serious?

| Looks kind of neat. I'm not really into tri-Ace games, but I am more interested in the PSP remakes of Star Ocean 1&2. |

Infinite Undiscovery Xbox 360
Release date: Summer 2008
Live/Multiplayer: DLC only
- Nothing new regarding the story
- Battle system is real time and seamless, two types of attacks light and heavy. you can also juggle the enemies. can team up with party members for attacks (maybe this is what the 'Connect' thing that appears on the char's portraits is?)
- Enemies react to your presence either by vision, sound or smell. they explained the smell bit, enemies like dogs can spot you by smell but they can be distracted by throwing some food at them.
- Varied scenarios. they talked about the dragon attacking a village you are in, while a party member receives some treatment (this was in the old TGS trailer). you can use stealth for nighttime scenarios or you can force your way through, they leave that to the player.
- Some of these Situational Battles have multiple solutions, like the nighttime scenario I just mentioned.
- The decisions you make, will directly affect your adventure. one example they gave was the ogre when escaping from a prison, you can use these exploding barrels to destroy enemies barricades but that will wake up and ogre and it'll start chasing you.
Hopefully Famitsu blow out has more stuff.
OXM will have an interview with Hiroshi Ogawa (IU director) on their site.

That video actually got me interested.
Is it just me, or are current gen RPGs taking a huge cue from FFXII? |

^ I don't know. From what I have seen so far most of the stuff in IU seems fairly standard for a tri-Ace game. Although I am glad they decided to go with the seamless world/ battle in IU.
I wish more current gen RPGs would take a cue or two from FFXII. |

YOU GET TO RIDE A BEAR! First there were bears in Too Human, now this? 360 = official console for bears confirmed. I'd buy a LE Chicago Bears version too. _________________ "Follow your instincts, I told her time and time again not to swallow pink drinks, I guess that's just how the hollow link clinks, V, the fink who made the chink in the mink wink, they say he need a shrink..." - Viktor Vaughn |

The LE would probably stand a better chance of defending against Adrian Peterson than the actual Chicago Bears - Zing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see Allen destroy Grossman this year. wink |

Tri-Crescendo is a far more promising company.
Wonder what it's relationship is with Tri-Ace. |

The PAL one looks like a Dynasty Warriors title.

| Don't forget about the name of the main character in SO4: Edge Maverick. Clearly they like stupid names. |

It's Japan, what do you expect?
Anyway, just saw the footage. Looks a bit like FFXII. Looking forward to this now. _________________ I support bad translations!

From latest videos from GTrailers....ummm....I was sort of dissapointed. Don't know how to specify that. Looks somehow simple to me
Maybe it was just bad chosen footages... _________________ My smoke smiley still missing? |

It is pretty bad. Some guy from another board was trying to explain how undiscovery was actually short for something else, but even if that was true it doesn't change the fact that it sounds stupid.

I agree that past direct feed footage has looked better. I think the most recent footage was from the demonstration they did of game elements in the first dungeon at the 360 rpg event that was held in Japan.
I still don't know if battle is a constant 60 fps. That would suck if it isn't. _________________

It's the very beginning of the game. Here's part 2:
